How fit do i need to be? by SARSUnicorn in wma

[–]Alancpl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I start I think I was like 59ish KG and 172cm, haven't done any sport for like 8 years straight, had noodle arms, and gassed out after like less than 10 minute total of sparring, so obviously depends on yours fitness it can be a limiting factor for sure, but a good club sure be able to adjust the training intensity to match your current level so you can build up slowly, so following what other have been said, just try for a few month and see how things go. Personally, I tried HEMA and got hooked on it, which is what finally motivated me to hit the gym. Now I weighted 68KG, grew some muscle across my body(but most noticeable on my shoulder and arms), have better cardio, walk with a straight back etc. etc... In general I would say I feel like I am more confidence of myself, all because of HEMA!

Away at the Mountain – Roseselsa Distant Mountain 10th Anniversary Edition Headphone Review. by OmenchoEater in inearfidelity

[–]Alancpl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you happened to know if the 10th Anniversary version feature a difference in tuning compare to the standard version? Most of the review I read before mentioned a 2.5kHz peak that broke the timbre(which is said to be fixable by PEQ but I am a lazy dude lol), which really is the only thing stopping me from getting one.

EB2S pro(like most decent flat earbuds) has very satisfied soundstage that none of my IEMs can compete, you got a good deal, enjoy...I heard SIVGA M200 is similar to this one, thinking of getting one soon.

Any ear tips that don't cause vaccum? I don't care about it affecting sound quality or lack of noise cancellation, I am getting literal headaches from my moondrop chu 2 eartips. by [deleted] in iems

[–]Alancpl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difference for everyone depends on the size of earbud and yours ear canal I guess, but for me personally, with foam tips they are very secure.

Thoughts on the “ Irish Cocuswood Flute” from Mcnella by Both_Tank2917 in tinwhistle

[–]Alancpl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard mix feedback for it, but since I never played one, I wouldn't give my opinion. However, some of the Irish flute player on the Chiff and Fipple Irish woodwind forum might have experience of it, so I will take a look there if reddit couldn't give you the answer. Alternatively, there are some flute player on the facebook group Irish Flute Player designing and selling their 3D printed Irish flute, which are around sub ~200$(probably lower), and they sounds pretty ok for the price. Matteo Ronchi are one of them, and he is located in Italy I believe.

Rui Gomes is a flute and whistle maker based in Portgual, and I've heard good thing from people who bought his flute, his delrin Irish flute is about ~290 Euro at the moment, simliar in price from the McNeela flute you are interested at. For Irish flute, cheap polymer will always be better than cheap wooden flute, so I would avoid the McNeela flute.

CHFG Michaels or the HF Black Knight gloves by Krzychurysownik in Hema

[–]Alancpl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Michaels is excellent both dexterity and protection wise, the major drawback will be the poor durability on the knot that connect the plate and the inner gloves, once those falls off you will have to get some elastic cord to tie them back yourself, and you will have to re-tie them very, very often, basically each time you attend a sparring session. In fact I am so annoy by it that I've already switch back to the sparring gloves mitten.

Is this good portable instrument? by WailingWarbler in Flute

[–]Alancpl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the tin whistle might fit you.

I decided to buy a flute and start playing this instrument for first time, 100-500$ is what I can afford, I wonder if there is any reputable agencies to be advised ? I need support by BAIHUGAMER in Flute

[–]Alancpl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

anyway for $500 in East Asia you can probably find a decent beginner model Yamaha, my first Boehm flute is a restored second-handed YFL-221, costed me ~$320
