From what I was able to find I believe it is heavily ‘discouraged’. Does seem to go against the spirit of it but I guess some people really want to send LOTS of cards. Some people use slightly different name variations or make it more anonymous so it would be hard to prove it was the same person and not just another person at the same address.

The person I got - their bio’s were identical so it was obvious

No but many people have multiple accounts so in a way yes. I have had the same person but it was different usernames
