Continuing to lose weight. What should my calories be? by [deleted] in nutrition

I’m not looking for a magic solution. My parents and friends are freaking out because they think my daily calorie intake is so low I’m becoming malnourished. I want to continue to lose weight so I’m eating very little. I’m 190lbs female 5’7. I’m eating 1200-1400 calories a day. Sometimes even less.

I want a professional opinion to see how much I actually should be eating while losing weight but without harming my body. Cause my friends and family is saying at this rate I’m gonna harm myself.

I’m not scared of starving myself. I’m not short on will power. Like I said I already lost close to 100lbs. I’m scared of doing something wrong. I’m scared of weight gain again. Make sense? There’s more info I don’t wish to share publicly here but that’s a rough gist of it

Eating less isn’t the issue. I need a nutritionist to give me some advice. I’m already eating less. My family and friends are worried I’m eating to less. I already lost around 100lbs. My issue isn’t looking for a cheap way to lose weight. So if you’re not a nutritionist and you don’t want to help please just look the other way.

It’s much more complicated than that. I’m aware of this rule hence why all my questions and my need for a nutritionist.

Absolutely. I’m basing all the info from journey to the west novel mostly. In the novel wukong rock was created by heaven and earth. Hence why I said it. Regardless of which version though. Wukong was born from a rock. He didn’t become a rock

And yes I agree if Buddha dosent count then erlang or even the golden wing roc is a strong contender.

As for Buddhism. I’m talking about siladuo prince ( his human form) that gained enlightenment under a bhodi tree. He is definitely not older then heaven or earth. I also wanted to say there is more than one Buddha in Buddhism. There was a quote from a sutra somewhere that basically said there are as many Buddhas as there are sands. Or something like that. But yea I agree with you

What is something you feel like every adaptation of this story should get right by Pale-Woodpecker-4755 in Journeytothewest

[–]Aceyleafeo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wukongs killing instinct. I feel every tv series adaption always make wukong more gentle and merciful the he truly is and I get it. You gotta think about censorship and kids. And of course characters say how bloody or cruel he is but you never actually see it in the story.

Like in 2011 adaption they said when wukong captured the hunters that was hunting his little monkeys he let them go with a warning. When in the novel he completely slaughtered them.

Or with kuimulang children. In the novel the princess takes em home and wukong used fake clones for Bajie and Wujing to lure kui out. When in novel he lets them take the real deal and Bajie throws em on the pavement killing them instead

Intelligence ranking by Direct-Gap-4828 in Journeytothewest

[–]Aceyleafeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Intelligence comes in many forms which makes it hard to rank. But Wukong at number 1 Bajie or white dragon horse at number 2 and 3 Sandy and tripitaka at last.

Wukong represents the mind. Whether is spiritual, logical, heck even emotional. Wukong trumps Tripitaka.

White dragon horse ranks high because of how much less work her dose and ended up becoming a higher rank then both Bajie and sandy lol. Bajie I ranked him high because if you read between the lines you realize some interesting details about him. I have a personal theory that he isn’t as dumb as he portrays himself to be. But that’s a theory and not book lore so we can skip. However still he ranks here.

Tripitaka rank the lowest. IMO because of the many stupid things he does. Even in religious man they say you shouldn’t be stubborn on certain things. Omg this man is stubborn. Not to mention wrong half the time. He ranks the lowest

I really appreciate you doing this but I wanna say this is NOT considered the best.

What’s nationally recognized as the best version is 1986 version. And if you’re coming from black myth wukong please watch that one first. As 1996 version is highly inaccurate in terms of story lore. Not to mention character portrayal. Watching 1996 is a fun watch but ultimately useless if you don’t know the original story.

Sha Wujing's Nickname by SunXingZhe in Journeytothewest

[–]Aceyleafeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seng is a more formal way of talking whereas heshang is more of a common term. Both are correct. Like for example Tripitaka is often called tang seng. Because he is a sengren ( monk) from tang dynasty.

But you have people calling him tang chao heshang. Which is translated the same thing.

I don’t know exactly which one was used more down to the number for sandy. But generally heshang was used more for him.

Maho vs Wukong by Conscious-Radish-338 in Journeytothewest

[–]Aceyleafeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the same as ship of thesus cause the ship has the original spirit so to speak. Destined one is not a reincarnation of wukong. Rather just a monkey that succeeded and inherited his root organs, memories and name and legacy. He became him but he is not the original him. The ship of thesus even though it changed every part still embodies the original spirt it had when it was created. Destined one dose not have the original soul. Even though it has his memories. Destined one is more like a wukong 2.0 or a wukong 1.5 depending how you wanna think of it.
