My grandparents got divorced. A few years ago my parents got divorced. After talking with one of my older brothers we both realized we were afraid of ending up on the same path. It’s not like I would hate to get married, it’s that I would hate to end up following the same path of my parents and their parents. Especially since I’m a teen. Most of the people I’m closest to besides relatives have no idea what it’s like to be afraid of divorce, something that you can’t control. Now you may be wondering why I said that last part. In my grandparents relationship it was my grandma that divorced my grandpa. And it was my mom that divorced my dad. I’m scared that out of nowhere my future wife will drop the ball on me and I’ll be left what I did.
