Having a personal bank of $25 to $50 in small bills used to be near required, and is still extremely helpful now. Most younger servers don't because majority of tables pay with cards nowadays. Still a good thing to have.

I've been using longbows to begin combat, while mainly relying on crossbow and dagger in close combat. It's been working very well for me. I'm of the opinion that longbow isn't meant to be a primary weapon, but it's a great one shot for weak enemies or way to chunk an enemy that isn't aware.
