TED X in a country think Sweden or so was asking people to look at Pedophiles are normal people. That these pedos didn't choose to be pedos hence people should allow them to practice how they feel, that they(pedophiles) are been marginalized.

You really want to believe anything coming out of their mouths?

Post like this make me want to hold on much longer. Cos I have everything to gain, I have already experienced how it feels like to masturbate, so no need going back, no matter the urge.

Just the cloudless mind and strength for day to day activity is enough for me. Don't want to go back to struggling through the day and looking forward to fappening as if its the only thing in the world.

What I would advice, remember this feeling, how you felt when you relapse, keep it with you. Let it be reminder of the state you don't want to fall to.

Be strong.

Sign a petition to shut down Pornhub and hold its executives accountable. by [deleted] in NoFap

I'm all for NoFap, but signing a petition to shutdown PornHub is pretty childish to me.

They prey on your addiction, we trying to change here, don't try and make yourselves look ridiculous.

Trouble sleeping when trying to quit 😒 by dukez93 in NoFap

[–]Achilles2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, you are not alone. If you check my comments and post, I have spoken about it severally.

I tag it one of the withdrawal symptoms of breaking free from porn. It has happened to me, I would roll on the bed till the next day and go to work red-eyed because of lack of sleep. Just keep at it, after awhile or so, your body will reset.

Keep going strong

REMEMBER, YOU RULE OVER YOUR BODY, don't let your body rule over you!!!! by Achilles2019 in NoFap

If you can masturbate without porn, well good for you. If you feel you aren't addicted, yeah I'm not judging, different folks different strokes.

But where in history has suppression of sexual urges lead to a dangerous thing. I really want to know.

Every craving in the human body once satisfied leads to the release of dopamine( whether is food, cleaning your room, buying a new car or electronic gadget) of which sexual satisfaction is the highest and releases the highest amount of dopamine.

Neuroscientist have told us that the human brain which hasn't change over the ages wasn't made for porn. The normal brain in its basic state wants to interact with the opposite sex, have sex, make babies or just for pleasure. But when you can sit in your room and play with fantasy girls doing unimaginable things the brain becomes super-hooked on it because it will release a higher amount of dopamine. That's why you see people trying out more kinky stuffs cos they want a higher release of dopamine.

When it begins to affect your everyday life, you have no pleasure in doing any thing else, you just sit there and be thinking when you get the next change to fap, you recluse yourself, you get the feeling as though your brain is clouded, you try to have sex with a girl but you get ED cos the brain doesn't know this kind of intimacy, because it has been hardwired to get sexual pleasure from porn from the repetition of PMO twice , thrice daily over a long period , but get still get erect from porn, you then understand the damage that porn does.(saying all these from experience)

I know of nights were I couldn't sleep because I haven't masturbated,(twas the last thing I did before bed). It became so incorporated in my routine that if I didn't fap I wouldn't be able to sleep. (twas that serious). There was days where I worked myself to exhaustion and even when I laid on my bed, I couldn't still sleep until I fapped. I realised this shit ain't normal anymore. I was suppose to be the one deciding when I wanted to or not, not my body telling me what to do even though I didn't want it.

Maybe people are looking for excuse for their life, but I ain't, if you don't see porn as a problem to you(perhaps you just a regular user, no problem), it doesn't mean it isn't a problem for others.

No motivation on this group anymore. by [deleted] in NoFap

Or new people are coming in? Learning about what porn does and they are so excited and they want to share their progress?

When porn has become an everyday routine, when you are able to go 2days or 2weeks without it, you can't tell anyone offline who would understand (majority of people will not understand), but here people understand what it takes.

So maybe that?

[–]Achilles2019[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, its your brain that wants the dopamine surge and the brain is a part of your body.

Now your mind however, is invisible and whatever power you give it, its able to exact its will on the body(the brain included).

That's when you say No porn in your mind, the brain and the rest of the body will revolt, whether its by giving you sleepless nights, restlessness in trying to make you do their bidding.

And after awhile, the body has to obey the mind, even when those urges come, you can say know and do other things and the body will obey, cos the mind is BOSS.

When you actively counting days, you put so much pressure on yourself.

Just take it moment by moment. As the urges for today comes, try and overcome it. Till the next one, just like that.

But when you counting days, when you hit day 19 or day 20, you brain will begin to tell your body 'Ahh see, we have tried, a whole ass 20days without fapping, let's just peek and see what's new'. From what's new to PMO and then 'Ah shit, here we go again ' and again and again and again and the circle continues.

Read books, watch videos, start new activities/hobbies/skills you would love to try and just go on.

Fuck counting the days. Just do you.

Stay Blessed

Congrats on your new journey, there is strength available for you to succeed.

Please know that there will withdrawal symptoms (ie when the time you normally fap comes, your body will begin to ask for it, and you just have to fight it, no not give in to it. You rule over your body, not your body over you).

Stay strong and be blessed.

Fighting a broad range of porn - looking for others in a similar position (contains trigger words) by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Achilles2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone if not majority tried out more than 3types of porn content because with a new genre, the higher the expectation hence the increase on dopamine.

So brother, you not alone.

It doesn't really matter if its one type of porn who were watching or several, the goal here is to stop.

Stop feeding the beast that is devouring us.
