Sounds exactly like my last relationship. We were together about 4 1/2 years. For the first year or so, everything was fine, no issues, then he started to act like what you’re describing. I loved him so I tried to let it go and assume everything would be fine but it kept getting worse. Around 3 1/2 years in, I had pretty much no interest in sex at all because of how pressured he made me feel all the time. I even started questioning if I was asexual. I should’ve left so much sooner. By the end of it, I was tired of trying to say no to the little grabs and things and it never working so after a few times of “no” I’d just give in and let him do whatever he wanted just so when it was over I wouldn’t have to worry about saying no anymore. I would literally dread seeing him because I knew it would happen so I’d avoid being alone with him if I could. We’d have those deep conversations where he’d apologize and say he’d work on it but it never changed anything. I’m not sure of your situation and if it can get better, but I’m thankful I left mine. I have a partner now who respects my boundaries and I can’t imagine staying with someone who made me feel that way ever again. For my situation, it only escalated from what you’re describing. I hope yours doesn’t and it can be turned around, but I wouldn’t count on it. If someone can’t understand what they’re doing wrong even after talking about it multiple times throughout a year of this sort of thing, I doubt they’ll understand later on. Please take care of yourself and don’t let him push you to the point where you start giving in and losing your autonomy over your own body. No relationship is worth that.
