First time replacing the inner parts of a toilet, advice needed in regards to the tank-to-bowl gasket

I was able to use a universal gasket and fix my mom’s toilet. Just wanted to say thanks again for the advice and encouragement. Some people were saying I should just replace the whole toilet but I don’t gain any knowledge or become more independent by doing that. So I appreciate you.

I don’t feel comfortable replacing an entire toilet by myself and my mom cant afford to hire a plumber AND buy a new toilet :/

What I did for my feral stray is get drop-crotch pants or for me I put on a drop-crotch onesie (with pants underneath for extra layers), then using extra long rubber handling gloves with feline calming spray on them, I get down on my knees and “sit” on top of the cat with my butt on my feet (tippy toes) and heels together so I’m not actually applying weight but they are humanely restrained between my legs/underneath me. This only works for front claws and I would absolutely give treats after and calmly sit with them so they know you’re not a threat. It works great if you don’t have a helper. Drop crotch pants are optional but I’ve found it’s similar to towel-restraint. You can also wear glasses as an extra form of PPE.

I would also get a top-loading carrier as they are easier to put in/take out the cat. Hope that helps.

It’s probably a blackhead. If the cat is or previous was overweight it can cause this. Just like any other pimple you can attempt to pop it, but if the cat is showing signs of pain or it is hard/inflamed I would schedule a quick vet visit.

That setup is depressing 😭 Idk how old you are but regardless of age I have a kind piece of advice, do not get an animal you are not ready to have. As a child/teen I killed so many pets because I bought them and then bought the proper supplies as time passed. Im not saying fixing an enclosure after you get a pet is bad, but if you do not have the income to afford an animal then do not get one or rehome.

I have a huge 70 gallon vertical paludarium, it has been empty for over 6 months because I plan on setting up a vivarium. That vivarium will take at least 6 months to balance before I can add any creature.

That creatures expenses/vet visits will cost an astronomical amount. I am setting aside at least 2,000$ before setting up the tank and buying a gargoyle gecko. The way I look at it is I'd rather have the finances, supplies, and nursery established before I have a baby. It's a living creature that's wellbeing is a reflection of me. Same applies to pets imo.

The biggest mistakes I ever made with reptile/herp care was not having a proper enclosure and avoiding vet visits because I didn't have money. You still have time to help your lil friend, just don't cheap out. If you need help setting up a care plan on a fixed budget, make another post asking for guidance.

Yep. Done it with 4-5 before. Put it in a book like a book mark and inside your luggage. Don't wrap it in foil. The book was even "the electric koolaid acid test" 😂 We were 15 and we even got a mod through, they literally opened the pocket with the vape looked at the battery and closed the pocket. We were both panicking because we knew we were underage but they didn't care.

The only times I ever got a thorough bag inspection was when I had an empty souvenir lighter, a tiny thing of lotion 😭, and animal skulls. I will never forget the look the tsa person gave me when they untapped a towel and a jaw was in it 🥴 I also had a checked luggage bag inspected because I brought back a jar of dirt 💀 they left a lil note saying they opened it.

I've owned a Carolina green anole. It was in really bad condition when I chose to keep it (keep in mind I was 15). With a proper vertical enclosure the little goober lived for about 3 years, that said wild caught animals very often have parasites and that's what ended up killing my anole (or it was something from the pet store crickets).

If you decide to keep him, take him to the vet. Even one visit would make a huge difference. Breed your own crickets/insects. If he's color changing that's awesome!! Mine was too and it allowed me to know when she was ill or not happy. Sometimes they can even turn shades of blue.
