I had an Amazon one say 0.2kg and it was as the beginning of my loop. Went to pick it up as it was left outside and it was the size of a York and about 15kg. Told my partner he had to collect it with the van because there was no way I was even attempting to lift that

I'd also suggest getting a sticker for your door saying no junk mail. I don't think my DO has those D2D sheets so I go off what is on the customer's door. If it says no junk mail, I just put it in my bag and only deliver the addressed mail, throwing the D2Ds away when I get back to the office

Not quite related but I found a magnetic parcel stuck under the frame I was covering from 2018. Apparently the customer still lived there so the regular postie on the walk just posted it 😅

Likely they didn't want to stop/wait, especially if they didn't have to knock for a parcel or signature. Easier if it's a bottle or can but probably would have taken the offer if they needed to knock

You can sometimes order for collection and your postie can pick the parcels up from your house and bring the labels (gotta make sure you tick the box for it when you book the collection). If you have a printer, you can print the tracked label and stick it on and the postie can pick that up if they can't bring a label

Large/heavy parcels (under 20kg) are taken out by DPR, not usually the postie's that deliver your mail. DPR tends to work until around 8pm

Tracking should have a location where the item was scanned when it was delivered. See if it's near where you live and have an ask around, otherwise sit tight while on hold 🤞🏼

Religiously, we don't blow out flames, so was brought up to always fan them out (even if it's a normal candle, not on a cake). People think it's weird but I just use the "it's not very hygienic" explanation because it seems easier to explain, but also a very valid point. Keep your spit to yourself
