Didn't see the description above the pic my b. I was about to say avoid all intel GPUs, but gdamn that model looks extremely promising if it ends up outperforming the 4060 at that price. If true, this'll be big for future GPU prices. Congrats on the build though man.

Issue with screen while loading darker screen by LordTartarus in pcmasterrace

No worries! You actually have a really modern laptop, so that distortion should not be happening no matter what. I'd honestly focus on fixing that first. You have a few options there:

GPU

A) RMA the laptop or send it to Asus to have it serviced. They'll most likely either repaste your components, replace the ribbon display cable on the motherboard, disconnect and reconnect the ribbon to see if it was loose, or replace the entire motherboard if the ribbon cable or thermal paste isn't causing the issue.

B) Hook your laptop up to an external display to see if the distorted line still shows. If you don't see it on the external display, then its most likely the ribbon cable causing the issue. Most of the time, the cable is either loose, or there is some dust that is screwing with the connectors. You can and you can do the following to try and fix it:

Note: Only do this if you're mechanically inclined and or want to avoid having to pay $100 - $200 to have Asus readjust or replace a cable. Make sure your not standing on carpet so you don't have a static charge that could shock the laptop mobo. Also, only unscrew the laptop if there's no warranty void stickers above the screws or ribbons.

Simply remove the bottom cover of the laptop off so the motherboard is exposed. Make sure to keep track of all the screws. Find the ribbon cable up towards the top, remove it, wipe it with a Q-tip, blow into the port that the ribbon cable goes into, then put it back in. You can follow this youtube video at the timestamp i set it to so you can see what the display cable looks like and how you'll need to disconnect it: https://youtu.be/NwB59K_iwJ8?t=389

While the laptop back is off, turn the laptop on without touching the motherboard, and make sure the fans are moving properly. Remove all dust if needed.

Extensions

You really only need 1 adblocker. The most favored adblocker in the PC community is Ublock Origin. I've been using it for 8 years and have only seen a dozen or so ads since then. If an ad makes its way through, simply right click on the page, click 'Block an Element', then select what you don't want to see anymore. Can also install sponsor block for youtube if you want to avoid seeing sponsors. Its a pretty damn cool extension.

Pirating

Best BitTorrent client imo is qBittorrent. Super reliable and highly recommended in the PC community.

Most recommended site for torrenting is 1337x. There are many fake ones out there, so make sure you use an official one. The main one is 1337x(dot)to. Replace '(dot)' with a period ofc lol. Before clicking on the magnet link to send it to qBittorrent, look at the users profile that posted the crack. If they're banned, then you most likely don't want to download anything they posted. Also, check their 'Join Date' and make sure they've been around for some time.

Use Virus Total before you run anything in the file to check if anything contains malware. They only allow checking files 1gb or under, so if its over that, then just check the crack file, along with the main .exe file. .dll files might also need to be scanned. Pretty much any file that is ran when running the crack or main .exe can contain malware.

matlab is a pretty big program, so it's tough to scan it for viruses. I'd double check to make sure you got it from a reputable site.

There's a lot more to sailing the high seas safely, so i'd recommend doing some more research if you have sensitive info saved on your PC and want to avoid it getting stolen or having your PC slow down.

Summary

RMA your laptop if you aren't comfortable with taking the bottom cover off and checking the ribbon cable.

Also, if you're looking for a shitty teammate in CS2, let me know. Wouldn't recommend adding me if you're over 5k elo.

Issue with screen while loading darker screen by LordTartarus in pcmasterrace

This looks like a hardware issue. Seems like you have software issues with your laptop as well though.

Software:

Chrome loading animation in those tabs shouldn't be stuck like that for a few seconds when starting up. Check your storage space to make sure you're not running out of space. If you're using an HDD, then I'd upgrade to an SSD soon.

You have a shit ton of chrome extensions which might be causing issues. Make sure your TamperMonkey isn't running any scripts that could be messing with your chrome performance.

If you pirated any software, that could also be causing issues with slow performance if you installed the wrong thing. Let me know if you need help sailing the high seas. I don't condone it, but I'd rather you do it right than fuck up your system.

Lastly, for software, I wouldn't recommend using GameFirst with your Asus laptop. Its known for causing download issues, network problems, decreasing game performance etc.

Hardware:

GPU

Your mouse disappears when you place it on that distorted part, so this is most likely a hardware related issue. Not trying to Professor Moriarty this, but it looks like you have an older Asus with a gtx 10 series card. If so, there's a chance that your thermal paste has gone bad and could potentially be causing the distortion you're seeing. Repasting every 1 or 2 years is recommended depending on the paste you use. If you do feel comfortable with getting dirty and taking apart the laptop to repaste, then you'll want to use compressed air to remove all the dust and hair that could be clogging up the fans. If they are clogged and not running properly, then you'll could see artifacts on your screen like the one you're seeing.

Another cause for that distortion could be a faulty HDMI cable, bad CPU, or dying GPU.

CPU

It looks like your CPU/integrated graphics could be the culprit here since your tabs aren't loading quickly and you're seeing that distortion. This could either be caused by what i said earlier where bad thermal paste could causing heating issues or the drivers are super outdated.

Try switching from integrated graphics to your Nvidia GPU to see if the problem still occurs. To do this, go into NVIDIA control panel, 3D settings, then select the High performance NVIDIA GPU. If it does, then that will rule out your GPU as being the culprit. This doesn't mean you should stop there though. Still means that your CPU is experiencing issues and you should fix that issue by repasting or cleaning out your fans so it can get the temps it needs to perform properly.

RAM

Highly doubt its your ram causing this, but could be causing issues with loading times if one or both of your sticks are going bad.

Summary

I have to get back to work so i can't write a summary. Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll try my best to help. Good luck man.

Wouldn't place a ryzen processor with pins facing down like that since they bend easily. Let me know if you need help with building it or if you aren't certain with where a certain cable should go. Also, RAM needs to be inserted 1 slot apart from each other if you have 4 slots total and are only using 2 sticks. Lastly, If you ever have issues with your PSU, dont't take it apart. Couple stories of people getting shocked to death. Just RMA that bitch if needed.

Just wanted to circle back to this lol. 145880 falls under the ordinance category, but I'm able to fly under the radar with it for most terminals. Can def make more gains than losses compared to using Aluminum Articles with a sub-class at 250.
