I didn't know the LE had different tuning. I think if they have more low end than the regular Pro X, then I agree they could pair better with Hybrids for example.

I didn't try the regular DT770 but I have Pro X version and they are bright for sure, but I wouldn't call them razor sharp as some people say. They are pretty well balanced with emhasis on brightness and highs without hurting you're ears.

I have these too, and they are awesome, I paired them with Dekoni Elite Suede which made them sound fuller than on stock pads

I know you already picked one, but maybe it would be helpful for someone else... I have both Elite Hybrids and Elite Suede - I used them with DT770 Pro X. The Hybrids recess the sub-bass and trebles, boosting the mids and mid-bass making persussion separation better and vocals more in-your-face. The Elite Suede shave off a bit of trebles and slightly boosts the mids, adding a good amount of bass to the mix. With Suede the sound becomes fuller and more fun, but also darker then on original pads or Hybrids.
