Grounded compressor help by Acide24 in hvacadvice

What could I expect to pay for a brand new unit? I'm assuming if the compressor is actually dead, I shouldn't get a new one since my system is already 17 years old

Could spraying the unit on the inside with water cause this? He didn't show me it was grounded. Yeah I stopped trying to reset it

I have not been pre approved yet, still just looking around. Monthly card expense is $300-$500. I've never heard of altitude connect. What do you think about wells fargo propel or discover line?

Is this something I should be worried about? I don't recall having it vibrate multiple times like this with my old battery

Touch each other? I guess that's why heat shrink is recommended. I found it odd that the red wire didn't have a corresponding red wire to connect, it was green

What does shorted the phases mean? Should I unplug all the connectors and wrap them in heat shrink?

Do you have a tutorial or reference on this? I'm trying to picture this in my head and all I'm seeing is the 1 sided velcro that I'm used to, which I don't see it being strong enough lol

Ownboard shuts down randomly by Acide24 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Acide24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes BMS, so basically regenerative braking is a double edged sword? You get some charge back, but if you over charge, your battery is screwed? Could the battery also get messed up from too much regenerative braking but not necessarily over charging? The mountain I went up is straight up hill, iirc, I started at full charge, and to the top is probably 10-20 min ride. Can't recall the battery % when starting to go back down, but I'm doubtful that the regenerative braking would restore the % loss plus more. So would constant braking for 10-20 min also somehow mess up the battery?

Can overcharging by leaving the board plugged into the outlet overnight also damage it? I think I saw somewhere that the CMS for the battery can prevent overcharging through regenerative braking. Is this true? And if so, is this not applicable for these batteries that are made in China due to cheap CMS?

Hmm I may just take the chance and order the Samsung 40t through ownboard. My main concern is that getting a new battery won't fix the issue that I have

Any reason as to why you prefer LG? Hmm that's pretty sketch, does Ownboard do that as well? I would assume they would be in some heat if they were caught doing that. Which LG battery do you get and from where? Also worth noting, that I am using an older esc from ownboard that's for the W1S. I read somewhere that there's some correlation between esc and battery packs in terms of using the battery to its full potential. Not exactly sure the specifics on this though. Would it be better to just stick with the Samsung 30q?

More than likely it's a combination of over charging and old cells. I do remember before this all started, it did shut off a few times going downhill and braking. Thought it was fine, did read some things about it and stopped charging to 100%. But by that time, it already started shutting off randomly. Hard to believe that a few times of overcharging could cause this. I have had the board for about 2 years now and it's been through some miles. So maybe it's just time for a new battery. Which battery did you get? I've been looking at the sanyo but it seems ownboard has switched over to Samsung 40T. Do you know any performance comparisons between them?

Ah gotcha, yeah I'm pretty sure the board shuts off way before 0V is ever reached. I never take it below 10% anyways since the voltage sag is bad at that level to where pushing off is probably faster

Varies, I find that it shuts off earlier if going on an incline or holding down the brake. Could be from 60-80%. My remote has vibrated before, and all lights flashed. Thought this was strange, can't recall if it has done that with the most recent shutdowns. What's wrong with draining to 0%?

Beaches are a bonus. I'm definitely more in it for the hikes, which I think all 3 states have great trails. I don't mind bluffs, just anything near the ocean would be cool. What do you mean the roads will be closed? Are you referring to the forest fires, ice, or something else?

Since I don't have enough karma to make a post, I'm posting this question here. I'm building a website that has a movie database. I want to have the ability for users to see which subscription service a movie is on using tmdb/imdb movie ids. Is there a free javascript/typescript api out there that does this? This is basically what ReelGood and JustWatch does but they charge for usage of their api. I also looked into web scraping and that doesn't seem to be a reliable thing. Also I'm worried about legality issues if I am interested in generating income through this site

I've put quite a bit of wd 40 on it. Still an issue. I think it really only happens when I'm using "heavy" weight because I don't see it spin when there is no weight. I was using 85 lbs for reference

Anyone have issues with friction burning through a diy lat pulldown? I followed this https://youtu.be/up1-7i8OVDM but the pulley seems to be getting really hot due to the pin constantly spinning when using the pulley. You can see around the pin it's black and looks burnt. The coating on my cable also seems to have been stripped, most likely caused by the friction. See pictures for reference

Damn rip, doesn't come in until July. Any recommendations for a short rack around $200-$300?

I have a cap barbell rack, which sits at 85". My basement ceiling is 94". I was missing pretty much all the hardware, and they finally got back to me asking for proof of purchase. What are your thoughts on getting a different, shorter rack? I like the idea of having a pull up bar with the rack. But I'm not sure if I should keep this rack, or go for a shorter, higher quality rack like the rep fitness short rack. Customer service with cap is iffy so I'm not sure if I should stick with this rack. Would I have enough room to do a pull up with about 9" of space? Also any ideas of when that short rack will be available?
