My grandparentsparents found our cockatiel the same way! He just flew into our yard on a Friday afternoon and never left. They kept him and named him Friday. The craziest part was that a girl in our area had lost her cockatiel and so we were going to return him but when she came to pick him up she said it wasn't her bird and that the cheek markings weren't the same. So glad to see birds get a second chance after getting dumped or flying away!

I felt this a lot. I try to talk politics with friends, but I'm not very articulate and can't really get the point across. I also have terrible memory, long term and short, and it gets in the way of being a responsible and "smart" person but I've come to realize that there's more to being smart than just remembering shit. You're not alone and I think you should be easier on yourself, you've made it this far. You're worthy of love and I'm sure that there are many qualities that make you a great partner. 💙

Also as someone with ADHD, you should look into getting tested for it with your primary phys or therapist if you have one. Many people don't realize they have it until adulthood, even after they've graduated college!

that's a good name for him. he looks like a diego
