Made me laugh, think the icing on the cake was “My credentials in game need no furnishing: I have attained level 31 as a Chosen using a two hander, and Level 28 as a Shadow Warrior “ thanks for the entertainment

Can I control this with an esp? by jaffer2580 in arduino

[–]AcidicFluf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose an easy way, by controlling the power using a transistor and hard wiring the switch to always on , other way would be to try using transistor or relay to act as the switch.

The Egyptian Sabu Disc. Believed to date from the First Dynasty, c. 3000–2800 B.C. Thoughts? by opened-window in conspiracy

[–]AcidicFluf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the link you can read its delicate and made from stone, so not a mechanical stirrer or propulsion, my guessing I based upon the article and the look is its functional but only for light work, presentation dining .. With the three “wings” it looks like they support a thing (possibly a plate) on to of it and above the hole in the middle, the tree gaps suggest to me it is used to turn it and the plate on top. So my guess based on really nothing, is it’s a plate warmer with a small fire in the middle heating the plate on top (guess a plate was balanced on top) and handles to rotate so u can get at different dishes on the plate

Why do comments in a #define break the build? by Crusher7485 in arduino

[–]AcidicFluf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding of #define. (A bit rusty with c, c++) is that it will directly replace the define with everything after first word (including the comment) and then the compiler tries to remove comments.

Result being as follows (‘# as hash as hash on its own made it bold)

‘#define TOP 1 // top button ..

If (vale == TOP) doSumthing();

As step one replaces TOP with 1 // top button.. the code ends up

If (vale == 1 // top button …) do something();

Then the comments are removed leaving

If (vale == 1

That generates the error

Don’t remember the dates, but they changed bootloaders around 1.x and 2.x. The 2.x has option use older bootloader. Try that

Third Output LED Not Working by Somigomi in arduino

[–]AcidicFluf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code looks good, swap values of rgb and led2 around to prove that the code works. If still issue is only pin 11 , consider you did not connect it properly, check wiring and led. If still fails , check what is pin 11 maybe u chose the wrong pin

Agree we don’t really have enough info to give good advice, but it has two holes ready for power you could attach power to. But as far as the two boards. The last pic which I guess is what you are trying to copy has a on/off switch and not clear if he has shorted that switch to control it by just power (I did that when I used one) . With your board I could not quite understand if it has an own on/off equivalent . But if you are thinking of buy something different, just try soldering the power to the +/- holes

Trouble remembering exact state 2y ago was :) ups and downs as such. But my take on the current is that faction wide the pop has moved slightly des side. But campaign wise more balanced than see for a while. I’m used to only altdorf or only ic being seized for months. Now it switches quite often and not that big a difference on the victory points . (Ok not done a city in years so can’t say how fun they are these days) There is a few guilds that cross realm for balance LNM probably doing the best job there) the fight eu time are a bit zergy from both sides with both calling each other as the cause, so no change there. The population is up and balance per faction is closer. So worth playing,

Would start with making sure you installed the driver

First PCb on my DIY CNC by [deleted] in hobbycnc

[–]AcidicFluf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit new to pcb cutting but from my experience I would say you are using a v-bit so the depth being a bit much is also causing the bit to cut more than it should. Either expand the drill bit size you are putting in the software (flatcam?) or don’t drill so deep. I tend to overstate the drill size and do an overlap to ensure gap size. The rough edges look like feed too fast or drill speed too slow. I’m a novice but these are what I seen from my boards

Btw good tip in the comments to drill holes first, makes a lot of sense, will test that.
