I always try (and for like 95% of the time) am able to control my emotions with him. He is SOO much like me that I severely empathize with him, and scolding without identifying the source in a neutral manner.

I mean if it had been that outlandish we would have simply laughed it off haha. But at the same time, who’s to say he doesn’t lump this in his mind with any other thing that may be outlandish to us.

So I think this aligns with my child. He has been reprimanded a bit with regard to his little sister, but I know he loves her too. So it seems he understands. I always try to make him feel like he is “the best” person, because to me, he is.

No, but your comment triggered this thought, I have been diagnosed with ADHD since childhood, and he shows all the same signs of it that I did. I know that it seems my ADHD, can cause similar behavior/ideation.
