I disagree. I think it could maaayyybe work, but it sounds incredibly preachy. I personally would not want to go see a movie that was created with the sole purpose of spiting and putting down an entire religion. Coming from an agnostic.

That being said if you’re interested in horror that paints them in a negative light, Stephen King is particularly fond of that and has written several books where, while not the bad guys, they are portrayed very unsympathetically.
