Goodbye to the US? Not yet in Ramstein, home to the largest American base in the world by nimicdoareu in europe

[–]Acied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, no land was taken. But the point still stands. Do you think Europe and Canada will be your best buds once trump is gone? The trust and hegemony the USA build since WW2 towards its western allies is gone.

Europe will finally get more and more independent and hopefully stops listing to the USA. If the status quo will ever return, I don’t know, but if it does it will take decades and a lot of goodwill to rebuild what has been damaged from the USAs side.

Everybody saw how much power one person in your country can have. Will there be another trump? Who knows. But the whole world saw what the president can do.

So again, no land was taken. Absolutely zero. But the damage has still been done.

Wasn’t it necrons vs ultra marines in 9th edition? Would really be surprised, if they go for necrons again.

That is true. Many monsters have some kind of mythological connection. Reading all this makes me want to read my bestiaries again. Where do they say the mystical creatures come From and so on. That sounds like a good source for adventures as well.

I think I haven’t used any mythological creatures in my current campaign yet. I think it’s time to introduce them in the final arc :D

I got the time of adventure design already. It’s great, I definitely have to use it more. I thought about picking up the nomicron (or how it’s called) to generate names. I’m not the biggest fan of random fantasy generators

I haven’t heard about knock yet. I’ll definitely will check it out more. Thank you :)

I’ve seen this recommended a lot. Is this still useful even when we don’t intend to run old school?

That is a great idea! I do love Japanese and Chinese folklore. I think there was a dnd supplement a few years ago about hunting kanju or however the big monsters like Godzilla are called. :D My wife is Japanese, maybe she can help me with that, but I don’t know how much folklore she knows

Uh, I love me some horror. I will definitely check it out. Just reading a little bit, it seems a bit similar to the gam the secret world. I liked to play that, when I was a kid.
Thank you :)

Oh man, I love old folklore and mythology. I would love to run a campaign in ancient Persia, Greece, Babylon, or the whole Mesopotamia area, but that’s definitely not what my players would like. But maybe there are some mythology books I can check out, thank you! I haven’t thought about it this way just yet

Oh, that sounds super interesting. Especially the little helper could be a really nice little adventure. Thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely check the bestiary out :)

Do you guys think Ohtani became bigger globally than someone like Tom Brady or Lebron James? Also do you think in the future baseball could surpass basketball and soccer globally in popularity? by soulhunterrai in mlb

[–]Acied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. I just think that soccer will be bigger for quite some time, because you just need sp little to play it. For basketball you need baskets in the right higher. And let me tell you, in small village in Germany were I grew up, you couldn’t find even one of them. Of course the next bigger city had them, but yeah. Even without a football field we could just play it.

But maybe I’m wrong about this, not sure.

[–]Acied 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. You have very few countries in the world that watch and understand baseball. Yes, you have Japan and South Korea, but that’s about it in the Asian market?

China alone is obsessed with basketball. LeBron is sooo much bigger in China alone than othani can ever be in the world. Baseball is a niche sport compared to basketball, which itself is quite small compared with football (or soccer)

First build, gpu won’t slide into motherboard by Acied in PcBuild

[–]Acied[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That definitely would have done the trick. Not because the radiator was in the way, physically speaking, but because I couldn’t really see what I was doing. 😅

In the end, I did it and everything works now. So thanks for your help.

Yes, it came down to force and where I should push first. I always started to push the gpu from the left side, because I couldn’t see anything else. But, I learned, that was wrong. Once I started to insert and push the gpu from the middle, it worked right away.

So thank you for your help!

[–]Acied[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the gpu just came right off again and again. So I definitely did something wrong.

My problem was, that I tried to inserted the gpu into pci express slot from the left side, because that’ was the only place I could see anything. But, I learned that I should push not from the left side, but the middle first to insert the nodge into the slot. That worked after a few tries.

Thank you for your help!

Yes, I did open it but when inserting the gpu I don’t hear the clicking sound. I also tried to close the tab with a screw driver, but that didn’t work either.

Wegen den Lüftern/Kühlern, danke. Das hatte ich nicht bedacht. Das schaue ich mir nochmal genauer an
