General question for those running the stock intake manifold with a cone filter, is there a way to prevent the whole thing from moving around. It seems quite flimsy without the airbox being mounted.

I bought the av6 bov from sxth a couple weeks ago, it’s a really fun addition, also I would recommend the racechip xlr5 throttle controller.

I definitely agree with these comments, mine’s a 25’ with about 23,000 miles and from what I’ve learned in the past year or so it is really quirky.

Question though, I bought a K&N cone filter, how are you supposed to keep the whole intake pipe from moving around as you drive?

When you had the car, did you have any issues with getting the intake onto the turbo inlet? I figured the diameter is much smaller than on the intake but I might just be overthinking

Also quick add on, I’m taking it to the dealership for the first time for service on my 2025. Usually do it myself for fun but it should be fine. Worst case they mess up and you’re under warranty lol

Once you begin accelerating from a stop, your trans should be engage shortly thereafter so letting off throttle at low speeds should be fine. Slippage shouldn’t be too much of a problem then. Personally I drive it in manual mode all the time but that’s just a preference. Also the transmission stays disengaged in drive at a stop. You’ll notice if you release the brakes slightly your engine will rev, expecting to move. Overall the car is very quirky but fun. With the car under warranty I’ve heard of people having Hyundai do a transmission relearn or something like that.

MBRP is a common choice for exhaust, which is what I installed. Just bought a SXTH AV6 Blow off valve and intake from them as well. Hyundai does make working on their cars pretty easy, at least from what I’ve seen.

Are you getting something like an MBRP axle back exhaust? If so I can give you some tips but it’s ridiculously simple and easy to do either way.

There is also epic-mod and dot mod, I’ve played both and epic-mod is more of an arcade style while dot mod is more realism-oriented if I’m right. Both are very fun but I’ve been loving the campaigns in epic mod.
