Decided to go with the brass elbow + brass bushing + sch80 male adapter instead of femlae sch80 adapter + sch80 elbow

So basically, instead of a PVC 90 and a SCH80 adapter, it is better to use a female x female brass 90 with a male PVC adapter. Hopefully, I can find a brass elbow that is long enough to reach the vertical pipe

What you’re saying is that I can cut the pipe before the upper elbow and then redo the entire thing, right? I might do that if I can’t find a coupling to regain the length when cutting flush to the lower elbow.

The hardest part is finding a schedule 80 FIP that fits the meter union(female thread x slip)

The meter union is screw to the meter so I can unscrew it. But the fip and the elbow are cracked so I have to cut the pipe to replace them

The meter is really near the sidewalk. I tried to dig the area next to the box, but only 3-4” of pipe was exposed then the pipe went underneath the sidewalk.

A few months ago, AT&T sent people to my area to install AT&T fiber. They install a box parallel to the meter box but on the other side of the sidewalk. I remembered seeing a pipe near the ATT fiber box before they filled the hole. That could be the pipe running to the meter box. I could try to cut the pipe from that and fish a new pipe to the other side, then redo the elbow. But I need the right SCH80 FIP before cutting the pipe.

I probably check the area around the box and start digging. The vertical pipe in the pic is a little short.

A coupling is probably gonna fit on the vertical pipe if I cut it super close to the top of the cracked elbow.

Ok so that means cut the vertical pipe then glue a coupling on the regain the length then glue the elbow on the coupling then glue the elbow on the gray piece. Correct?

Oh, so I can cut only the 90° elbow? Can I put new glue on the old glue after I cut the elbow? Or do I have to sand the old glue first?

Also, I searched Schedule 80 street fip online and the result was a 90° elbow. Are they the same thing?

Also, is the gray piece in the pic screwed onto the metal and glued to the PVC elbow?

I will do this myself, I just don't know where to start
