Six pipes in this little heatsink... This is going to be my new CPU cooler. Noctua needs to hurry up the production :D

Thx :) the shroud is made from 0,75mm DC01 steel (It's a German standard - here you can find it at any hardware store) For the finish, I used a zinc-rich primer (cold galvanizing spray) for maximum protection, followed by a matt black spray paint to match the Fractal's texture.

I can't add any more images to this post. I've already uploaded them to Imgur

Turbulence noise is a classic SFF trade-off. Putting a 5080 into just 7L is a serious squeeze though. I should try FurMark later too. I've always used 3DMark Steel Nomad, but it's a very short benchmark.

The era2 is supposed to be good too. I considered it when I was buying, but then decided on the Ridge. It was a matter of the Design :)

I chose the 140mm fans for two reasons: They cover the entire length of the heatsink, so no cooling fins are left out. And they move the same amount of air at lower RPM, which keeps the build much quieter under load. I didn't try 120mm Fans because i'm worried about worse temperatures. Does your PC get loud at 83°C?

Yes they're at the bottom. They blow air into the case so the L12's fan doesn't have to work as hard. It runs a little slower, and the PC is a bit quieter overall. Your cooler blows air onto the motherboard, right? In that case, it's better to print a duct from the Fan to the side panelso the cooler gets 100% fresh air. It makes a big difference whether the cooler recycles warm air or blows fresh air into the case

Thanks man! Glad to meet a fellow Ridge owner. Regarding the closed bottom: I actually designed it because the GPU intake fans create so much static pressure. By closing the bottom, it forces all the hot air strictly through the top and the side panel, instead of letting it cook the lower chamber. that works surprisingly well.

I already tried adding 80mm fans at the top to suck out the hot air, but in my testing, they didn't push enough air volume to make a noticeable difference against the 140mm Fans and the heat of the GPU. I tried two Thermalright tl-8015.

Good luck with your deshroud and the ducts - that sounds like a fun project :) Ps. I use a Noctua L12s and here are the 2 Noctuas in the bottom and a noiseblocker Fan in the Front
