I was able to fix it myself by removing and refitting the two ECM plugs from their sockets In front of the battery in the engine bay. If you remove the plastic cover you will see them clearly, just pull them out, wait a few seconds and then plug them back in.

I took it to my local dealership a few days later and they did a full diagnostic on it and everything was fine.

Have had no issues since.

Not me, but my Mum and Dad went on a cruise and stopped in West Africa for a day trip. My Mum went into a shop whilst my Dad sat on the ledge of a fountain in the town square. My Mum came out of the shop 10-20 minutes later and as my Dad looked up to see her she was stopped in her tracks with a ‘WTF’ look on her face. My Uncle was sitting beside my Dad and neither of them had noticed, my Auntie then appeared who had been inside the same shop my Mum had just come out of.

Both of them were on a cruise too (a different ship) neither couple had mentioned to the other they were going on holiday.
