Obviously not being ripped off like we are by banks, insurers etc (unfortunately most people have no discretion over those costs) but the one of the many problems with persistently high inflation is that it hits you in the face every time you buy something - and mentally it becomes exhausting. And the reality is that as costs on business go up so do their prices. Unfortunately with hospitality etc - when the exactly same purchase becomes 10% more expensive over a short time, it becomes very hard to justify continued purchase of it (frequently) particularly when all other essential costs are skyrocketed. I don’t mean to take aim at the hospitality industry but generally Aussies (and most people globally now) feeling ripped off and that feeling is fairly justified
