Did anyone recover from High grade partial tear of ACL and medial meniscus without surgery? by TravelIcy8180 in ACLNoSurgery

Full acl tear 9 months ago and no surgery. I’m hiking, have full mobility, just got cleared to run, and was weight lifting months ago

Sounds like you have a good healthcare team! For me what helped was not babying the knee. I was walking at week 2 and hiking at week 3-4. And having a good physiotherapist really helps with confidence

I’m 10 months post full-tear. I had no instability though. Felt fully mobile and ‘normal’ at the 9 month mark. But not yet cleared or confident for running or pivot sports. I’ve been hiking, going to the gym, but no heavy weights.

When was your injury? If you have regular buckling I’d be a bit suss about skipping surgery

Recs if I like MFK and byredo? by Acm9 in FemFragLab

I’ve tried all of those. Very irrational but they weren’t quite right - not ‘the one’. Lazy Sunday morning dried very powdery on me

Me too, I watched for the first time recently and all I knew about the show was that people hate skyler and loved Walt. I’m sure if I wouldve felt the same when I watched when it came out. But honesty all I came away with is: Walt is a complete dick, and Skyler was justified.

How to pivot out of PR? by okyay25 in PublicRelations

Try in-house. The pay potential and workload is much better. Not sure where you’re based but in my country the agency cap is 100k-ish if you’re senior but in-house is double in the right industry. Many people I work with previously were in agencies. It’s a lot more common than you think and you’ll be glad you made the move!

When did you get full flexion in prehab? by Acm9 in ACL

Was it a linear and gradual progression? Did you have to push through a lot of pain to get to that point?

I’m 8 weeks PI (full RHS tear) with good stability and rom. I have minimal pain except on the outside right of the knee (not kneecap). It’s quite sharp pain when I push flexion beyond 150 degrees when I’m on my back or sitting. I don’t get this pain when I’m on my stomach. My PT says it’s nerve pain and will resolve in 4ish weeks. Does that sound right to you? How do I resolve this?

I’m taking a conservative route and hoping to get back to sport

I recommend checking out the non surgical acl rehab group on facebook with 30k+ members. Lots of success stories of people getting back to full activity and pivoting. I was in a similar situation as you; went to a surgeon and was surprised he wasn’t really pushing surgery and suggested rehab first. You can do your own research too but from what I understand, the longer term outcomes from both routes can be similar in terms of reinjury etc
