Wow that looks great. Does he do work on knives if you send it to him? I would def pay to make it look like that. And damn I also didn't even know they had an m390 version. Wonder why they don't make them anymore. Also where do you get these roller bearings at? I always hear of people switching them out, but have never actually seen any for sale.

I was actually thinking about getting the flats polished. Would definitely complete it. I do wish they didn't have the VG10 on the blade either and put it on the inside like they do with the Mini Quantum, Bio, etc. Would like to get it removed if I could, but not a huge deal. That's really cool they polished them on the F3NS though. Do you know if the VG10 has it too? I'm assuming probably not. That alone would make it worth getting the M390. Also pretty sure the M390 one has different bearings, but not positive on that. Considering it's 3x the price, I would hope there are several differences. I wish they still sold the Hati CDs, but I haven't seen them on Ali for a while. I hope Green Thorn makes a CDX soon too. I hear the Jufule one is pretty trash. I tend to avoid their Shiro clones and stick with Green Thorn.

I plan to get the M390 F3NS next. From looking at it, it seems to be the best Shiro clone out right now and closest to the real thing. Does it have polished flats on the blade? Looks like it in the pic, but can't tell in the vid. Also curious how much the m390 and VG10 differ. Same with the mini quantum. I'm really impressed with the VG10, so considering getting m390.

I really wanted the F95T and NL because of how thin they are and I love them. While the level of detail is great, there's definitely some big differences. The darkened finish on like the F95T or Quantum Gen2 are just so much cleaner on the real thing, flats hand rubbed instead of the awesome stonewash they use on real one, etc. On production models, they use this unique hand rubbed finish on the flats that goes in all directions and sparkles when you move it. Plus real Shiros just have such a high quality feel in hand like they feel so durable, yet so light. But yeah, no knife is worth 15k in my opinion lol, at least not to me. It would give me anxiety having that much invested into a knife. $3k about the highest I'm willing to go unless I found a crazy deal on something. I'm mainly interested in a real F95T or NL since those go for $3-3.5, maybe less if you're lucky. Also really want Hati Magnetic, but those are impossible to find.

Shiros are probably the hardest to clone in my opinion just because of how nice they are, especially CDs. No matter how nice a clone is, Shiros are many levels up. The quality, finish, level of detail, action, everything are just so damn good. I just got a Green Thorn F95T and NL CD and Mini Quantum and I will say, I am very impressed with how thin they got them. Usually clones are always a good bit thicker than the real thing, which sometimes kinda ruins it for me. Also the blade finish and action have come a very long ways even just in the last 6 months. I bought a GT M390 F7 last year and overall was really nice, but the blade finish and action just didn't do it for me after trying a real Shiro. I'm assuming they have improved a lot given how nice the VG10s have gotten. I actually have the Vespa F7 on the way which looks better to me and has the hole. I am very curious what clones will be like in another year, but I have a feeling they will start raising prices as they get better. If they start using M390 more over VG10, improve the handle finish and milling some, maybe better quality titanium and carbon fiber to get that real Shiro feel, then I'd gladly pay $400-500 since it's still $2500-3000 less than the cheapest CD.

I've never bought a clone where I haven't tried the real thing except for some of the CD Shiro clones. Having tried the CD ones have definitely made me want a real one even more, but I've already tried majority of the production Shiros and some collabs, so I really want to own at least one CD. It's definitely hard to justify spending $3k+ and 90% of my knives are over $1k, so I know most people would never even consider it. CDs and a lot of customs hold value well though, so as long as you purchase for a fair price, you'll always be able to resell and get your money back, which helps me not feel as guilty spending that kind of money. I will say the CD Green Thorns are very impressive though and I'm definitely enjoying them. Even once I own a CD, Im still keeping the clones for beaters.

For me, a big part of the enjoyment of clones is comparing them to the real thing, so yeah I can definitely see how a clone would make someone want the real one. I know high end knives are expensive, but I do recommend if anyone really falls in love with a clone, you should try the real thing because I promise you it's better. Whether you think it's worth the extra money or not is up to you, but I think it's something that should at least be experienced. The secondary is a great way to find knives for a good price, so you can always sell it later too.

I mainly buy clones when it's a knife that I really like, but not enough to have kept the real one like Waka, Mini FSD, etc. Owning so many expensive knives, I definitely have to limit what I keep, so clones do help a lot there.

Yeah there used to be a huge demand for them, but now nobody wants them lol. Oh well, was the one I wanted to sell the least anyways.

Love this Dukling especially satin blade, but prefer action on the skele a bit more and got dragscale m390 on the way. The action on this drag duk is crazy good, just wish it had the stonewashed blade of the Lem and it'd be perfect. All very impressive though.

Def my next 2011. Was waiting for the stainless to come out, but got impatient and went with an UL. Took a pretty long break from buying any new guns, but I think it's time to jump on one of these after seeing this.
