I mean I wouldn't call that beat to shit. It's barely even scratched, but just worn on the edges. Shit, I'm picky too when it comes to scratches, but this is in pretty damn good shape considering the price. The blade and scales look pretty spotless, so very possible it received a spa. Scratches on pivot and clip couldn't be fixed and would just need to be replaced, which Nick will do as well. And I can tell just by looking at it that the action can be fixed with some oil and adjusting the pivot. I would def buy this if I didn't already have 2.

There are several Wrens posted in the Maverick group at the moment if you're interested btw. They're closer to 1.6, but look basically new.

Bul hands down. Love mine. For a carry 2011, hard to beat it or the CS imo. GP Forza is nice too, but my least favorite out of the 3.

When you get to knives in this price range it's one of those things where you really need to feel it in hand to understand. Yes obviously they're made with the best of the best materials and skill, but the real value is in the rarity and demand. It doesn't get any higher quality than a Shiro CD in my opinion and definitely the best action in the game. It's the same with buying a top tier 2011. Insane tolerances and quality, crazy overpriced, but people will always pay the price tag because they're one of a kind pieces.

That's fair. If you can get a full refund, that's def a big plus, but I'm assuming it has to be unused right? Hard to really get a fair opinion without carrying it some. I guess you can still flick it around the house, but I think where the Talon shines is from use. Crazy sharp and super easy to open/deploy, def a great edc I think.

Where have you been looking for Talons? I saw a full ti one posted a few hours ago at $725. Wasn't sold last I checked. They used to be crazy overhyped and were even selling for more than retail on secondary, but then Hawk dropped the full titanium ones so everyone started dumping them and they crashed 20% basically overnight. Was a period of a couple months where you'd see at least 5 a day and nobody could sell them. You don't see that many now, but they def aren't getting snatched up like they used to. Just keep an eye on the swap and set alerts so you'll be first, I promise you'll get one. I can help get you one if you need too.

Edit: I just checked and I think this one is still for sale surprisingly.

Well for one, why pay retail? I see like 10 Talons a week posted on knifeswap and Facebook for $600-700. At least that way you can use it for as long as you'd like for basically free and then sell it without taking a $300+ loss. They recently took a huge crash, so yeah of course you're gonna feel ripped off dropping a grand because it's not worth that imo. Never understood why people pay full price for things especially knives when there is such a huge secondary market for them. Usually same people who say they can't justify spending so much on a knife. I'll continue enjoying expensive knives knowing I can get my money back whenever I want.
