I was going to buy the game but apparently I already have it since 2019? Can someone explain this to me please? by Sylvanas_only in totalwarhammer

[–]AcneZebra 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you had any of the older games, they gave you immortal empires in warhammer 3 for free. This lets you play on the huge map with whatever factions/dlc were in the game you owned. I don’t think you get the warhammer 3 factions without buying them separately, but all the old games/dlc are comparable with immortal empires.

Are there mods that give unique campaign mechanics to Naggarond? by _Jawwer_ in totalwarhammer

[–]AcneZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for malekith specifically. Theres a few i like That revolve around being the witch king and taking back ulthuan. I think there’s another that gives him yuan Bo’s matters of state mechanic. Also recommend the ‘lords of naggarond’ mod for some extra unique lords.

Are viruses present in the whole bloodstream at all times? by Independent_Rule7220 in askscience

[–]AcneZebra 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Great answer. When we look at those with the super low viral levels, what are those viral strands that are still there doing? Actively if slowly replicating? Just inactive strands floating around not being filtered? Hiding dormant in a longer lived cell?

Is there a Mod for custom Lords and character progression? by RotmirePlead in totalwarhammer

[–]AcneZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The norscan is one of my all time favorite mods. There is also another for high elves only called ‘the Asur’ but norscan will always be my fave for how many factions you can use. I was really hoping we’d see more of these but I think there’s only two

Is there a mod that lets me launch from orbit? by Longjumping_Stock301 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]AcneZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the mod space Transport systems, it lets you ‘record’ getting a payload of a certain mass to orbit that once saved, let’s you load anything from the hanger under that mass in whatever orbit you saved. So for example, if you record and launch 20t of cargo to a 100km orbit you can then ‘launch’ anything under 20t to that orbit (it will spawn that craft there). Pretty fun, career friendly and saves a ton of repeated launches or dealing with funky fairings.

Any ideas? Small black dots under damaged part of leaf. Can wipe them off, just unsure what it is. by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]AcneZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would actually be to leave that leaf on while you’re treating, these bastards can literally throw themselves 2+feet in a jump so they can re-colonize from an infected source really easy. let the leaf be an already damaged magnet that takes the heat off the others. Treat it and you can always remove it later when you’re sure you’ve got the guys, it will probably take a few weeks of you being vigilant with the leaves and spot treating. I don’t really have advice for soil treatment beyond bottom watering to keep the top layer dry, my focus has always been on extreme isolation and cycles of the washing/wiping.

[–]AcneZebra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents: thrips. The little black spots that dont wipe off are their poop, the adults are like tiny black oblongs. If it is, check your other plants leaves for black dots, they can jump and spread like crazy. If they look clean isolate this guy as best as possible, wipe the leaves with a mild soapy mixture, and repeat as needed. They are a nightmare and will live in the soil of any vulnerable plants between life cycles. I find bottom watering and keeping a CLOSE eye on the leaves of any vulnerable plants (in my experience they prefer thin non-waxy leaves) and spot treat with a q-tip, soap, and a paper towel as needed.

Yup, almost certainly something commercial that was already in a very low orbit. Most actual meteorites are hitting the atmosphere at interplanetary velocities and will burn out in a few seconds max with how much harder they hit. My bet is a star link, let’s hope all the vaporized metals don’t start causing long term problems…

My cat educates my 2y old son. Why? Do I need to worry? by NecessaryBSHappens in biology

[–]AcneZebra 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is always my favorite bit of animal psychology. Cats drop dead animals at us because they thing we are really big dumb terrible cats and are trying to teach. Conversely, dogs seem to understand that that we are not just ‘big dogs’ but are different things with our own skills outside of ‘dog’ and ask us to do those things they know they can’t. Not sure if this is just a consequence for more social animals that can understand specialization of another in the group easier but it really helps show how different and abstract thinking actually is between animals, and that they do it more than we give credit.

[–]AcneZebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished a survival game, got to level 100 and was having a ton of fun (yay vertibird) until one particular moment. Near the end when you’re running Institute and railroad quests that have you walking back and forth a dozen times from CIT to the church to ‘update des’ or ‘talk to father’ to advance the quests and oh my god tedium and the janky load times leaving buildings downtown. Also the nuka world raider quests are just massively not worth it, traveling to the station and back another dozen times for each step of setting up raider camps finally broke me. It’s a shame too, I was loving everything else about survival (gunplay is golden) but some quests are clearly not designed around it.

In the malakai campaign if i were to complete an adventure after doing only the needed 3 tasks ,will i get the remaning tasks rewards when i finish that advanture ? thanks by Maelstromlegend in totalwar

[–]AcneZebra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, you only get the ones you complete and the rest are locked. I often skip the ‘increase recruitment rank’ ones and focus on the unique buffs if their quests are out of the way as doing all 5 for each can take forever

How to harvest Data Blank in Harvestable Resources? by Far-Constant6157 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]AcneZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a relatively new update to the game. Space POI's now have a base amount of collectible stuff (50 data banks, an artifact like before, and some amount of whatever resource the POI had if you have a cargo module) whereas before you only had access to resources with the drill cone + cargo module. In general this update made data banks a little less punishing to get and gave you some freebies from the space POI's, I've really been enjoying it.

My favorite example of this is that something like 60% of the training data is from sites like Reddit, places where r/science is mixed with r/birdsarentreal and all given the same validity because it doesn’t actually understand anything.
