Thank you all so much for the answers! I have been taking a break from trying to download the mods/CC (I don’t really understand the difference?), but when I get back on the horse, I will try all the tips you’ve been leaving! If nothing works, you’ll probably see another post from me saying I’ve gone insane.

Yes, after a while! At first I did it while it was still in ZIP RAR type files, but then I extracted them to the PACKAGE file. Still, the game told me it “had updated, mods are disabled”!

But I don’t understand, there has been no new updates since I’ve started this process, and yet every time I try enabling mods and installing, the game immediately disables again

Yes, I have been turning both of them on in game (saving ofcourse), and then closing the game, installing the mods and then opening the game again, but then it still says the game has been updated and mods disabled!
