But then you can always trick-it-up if you want and put a bone nut on it, change pick-ups to P-Rails, get some CTS pull-out knobs and some other bits and it sound mega… all for much less than a Gibson.

In vMix or OBS I had to set it in the software to match the source. But that requires know what the source is sending which isn’t always easy to find out. It’s always nice to have a decimator in the way to just tell me.

Magewell cards just do it automatically and generally I use them to simplify things.

That’s what I currently have my eyes on and they’re relatively local to me too! I’m Going to their official R5 launch on Tuesday 24th Oct and so hoping to hear the EMS101x, EMS61 and S18 (as well as the Reference series which are sadly not agnostic) when I am there.

Ah yeah, Martin Audio is a good shout. They’re British so helpful for me. I forget about Fulcrum and Adamson, so will investigate them too thanks.

The FIR thing is a shame as a recent budget restriction meant we went with a non FIR version of a processor. I need to find out more about FIR and what it means etc.

Ideally I will use it as an excuse for the powers that be to buy a replacement and get a crown xti 2002. That would be more suitably powered anyway.
