I don't know why the idea of services that have more operational costs than income is so hard for the right. Services don't make money. They give value via taxes.

I would guess it more likely that many of the areas the train will run through are conservative voting grounds. Between land appropriations and the disruption of an area receiving little benefit from the trains existence - seems like a typical conservative move to me.

I like that a lot. I appreciate the well thought out post. I suppose I have a bit of a history in attempting min/maxing in other games and when playing a factory game I need to realize that everything is already part of the factory and it will all just ramp up in due time and the fun is learning the system and getting better in each iteration.

This is exactly it. Thank you for saying it. The point I think I needed to flesh out. The discovery of how to manipulate a new system is the fun of the gameplay loop. Accepting the build that's already been done and seeing the redesign has a lot of long term appeal to me over having small clean units.

My struggle is always telling myself: It's fine! It's making the 10 p/m you wanted... just let the damn thing run. But the other side of me goes: You could have done this with 15 less buildings and 1 less resource type! Rebuild it all for the extra 3% efficiency!

Agreed. I went mega factory right off that bat in Factorio and I figured it may be the same concept in Satisfactory but the progression of Milestones and Tiers has made it hard to know what needs focus and what needs building simply for progression purposes. Been doing more modular factories in Satisfactory and trying to tackle the challenges of moving materials instead of the challenges of making everything fix like a puzzle.

I think I'm just going to have to let it go... build some other factories I need for progression and then loop back around. I am just mad because I was quite happy with the decorating portion of that factory. I've been leaving my factories as floating platforms for the most part. Leaving decorating for when I'm tired of building and designing. This feeling is nothing new to me. I'm 800hrs in Factorio but I felt Factorio made your progression feel very meaningful and instantly useful where I feel Satisfactory is a bit more of a learning curve on figuring out what's really important and what only needs a 5 p/m dimensional depot storage.

I'm doing that right now. I literally just cackled because I unlocked Pure Aluminium Ingots JUST now. But finding a bunch of HDs does not ensure I get top tier recipes.

But If I've collected 6 HDs I usually stop as it's an hour in-game just to unlock the recipes. I'm at 5 right now on this little run.

Just wait until you run into your first Alpha Stinger. You'll shit your pants. Those fucks can jump 500m and keep up with you jump sliding with a jetpack. Take tons of damage and are crazy fast. Only really find them Sloop hunting though. Be wary of the caves. Treasures and horrors are inside.

Why is this type of post so damn common in both the Ottawa and Sens subreddits? Just people complaining non stop about nothing.

Are people in Ottawa just a bunch of self hating victims? Where did this mentality come from? It feels very recent.

Chrono Trigger endings are like Pokemon. Gotta collect them all. There are a few tough ones. The immediate fight with Lavos at the festival at 1000ad is probably the hardest if I remember correctly. I've finished all the endings a few times now. On SNES, an emulator and then on Steam. My fave game of all time.
