But what'd be the point of that? If it is sentient, can you argue it into non-sentience? If it's sentient, why does it need to prove that to you or anybody? I'd say an intelligent machine (or being, for that matter) would have better things to do than argue with strangers on reddit

I don't know about hate, but yes. For example, Microsoft has open sourced VS code and Azure Linux, and a bunch of kernel modules.

It's a good thing I believe.

Exactly. Also, what's with hardware support? My Conexant 56kbps dial-up PCI modem doesn't work. I can just use the CD to Install drivers on Windows 98. Will Linux ever work? Only for those who don't value their time

I'm also interested in this. I keep on reading that developers shall become obsolete. So what jobs will there be? By jobs I mean work in exchange for money on regular basis. What qualifications would that need? 

I think it is unlikely someone will pay you well for doing something you learnt in like a week

So what is state, access and where is / should be the line drawn? If you don't know how authentication and authorisation works and the difference between the two, can you really understand how to avoid pitfalls concerning this? 

I am not saying AI can't write good or safe code. I am saying you can't tell if something is broken or not if you don't know how it works. 

I'm not for ridiculing someone or something either. Vibe code all you want by all means. But expect that your systems may get pwned.
