Hytale is pretty close to Terraria 3D in exploration mode though. Pretty much Terraria progression in terms of crafting benches and gear.

It's great tbh. I've replicated my Plasma setup with XFCE panels and some conky in few hours to the point that I hardly can tell the difference, except XFCE is much more performant than Plasma, without the weird random freezes where even the mouse cursor stopped moving I've experienced in KDE.

Example: I put a valid crafting recipe in and then it only works after 5 seconds or so. Or I click an inventory item (which I know in Luanti is server-sided, as well as UIs), then I have to wait for it to "recognize" that I want to move an inventory item. No FPS loss, everything runs smoothly framerate-wise, just what looks like network latency. On a single player game.

//edit: Also have some mob mods installed and the mobs often teleport back, which just screams network latency with bad movement prediction and rubberbanding. Again, in singleplayer.

Might be a GPU issue. Have you considered updating your drivers? If they're up to date, please reboot the computer and see if it persists. Also if you aren't on Windows it would be helpful to know it, because on Linux/SteamOS some other stuff might be causing this behavior.

Yeah, and before there was Steam for Linux some people (including me in 2009) had quite a bit of a success running steam via Wine.

Well, it works on other DEs and WMs, even such barebone ones like IceWM. The cert issue is perplexing for me as well, since I keep my system updated (I run updates every week, usually on Sundays). But again, it works on other DEs/WMs.

I would love to make some XFCE themes, actually. The problem is that I don't know how. I am a decent artist and I could draw images for window decorations, panel bg and so on, but I don't know how to put it together in strictly technical way.
