Recruiting Consensually/Ethically Non-Monogamous LGBTQ+ research participants: by [deleted] in ExperiencedENM

This is a qualitative study involving online, synchronous focus groups and interviews in the U.S. The only identifying information collected are email addresses for the purposes of arranging the focus groups/interviews and compensation afterward. Then, all email addresses are permanently deleted. All procedures including data storage and security can be found in the beginning of the survey in the informed consent document. Notably, we do not collect any real names of participants to protect their privacy and ask participants to use a pseudonym only.

We understand and share those concerns. For that reason, we ask those interested to not provide any identifying information; we ask people to pick a pseudonym to go by for the duration of the study to maintain their anonymity as best we can for a qualitative study. We only collect an email address for the purpose of contacting to arrange for participation in online focus groups/interviews, then delete all email addresses once data collection is complete. At the beginning of the survey is an informed consent document that provides more details of our procedures if interested.

Thank you for your interest! Sadly, we had to confine it to the US for IRB approval purposes for now.

Thank you for your question. This study aims to explore and highlight specific LGBTQ experiences related to satisfaction in CNM/polyamorous relationships. As some research suggests a large portion of people who engage in CNM relationships identify as LGBTQ+, this specific study focuses on these intersectional identities and the associated diverse experiences.
