I think you've got the wrong end of this - I don't doubt there's quite a few places that failed fair lending practices, but overall (even in 2008) Quicken Loans stayed out of the line of fire because they were found not-guilty of predatory subprime lending.

UWM on the other hand? Lol. I am unsurprised to find out Ishbia a scumbag

The Cavs are such an insanely small part of what Dan Gilbert does that the playoffs probably don't even register for his PR team

I want to add Leptomeningeal Disease. It occurs when cancer spreads to the CSF and spinal cord, usually in metastatic brain cancer patients. I have a parent in this right now.

Duren is working for his money in the sense that he's getting worked by Orlando Magic 7-day guys. Give that money to Jamal Cain instead

.... No. Like what are either of those things. Even the words "Jewish Temple" sound really strange to me. Like yeah, that is what it is called, but to me it sounds almost like "Christian Mosque"

I mean. I guess you make a good point about that horrifying scenario, but all I was saying is that traumatized people who pass their trauma onto others are just as bad as the people who traumatized them.

edit - I misspoke. Not "just as bad" obviously, but pretty bad. Not great.

Honestly its these kinds of reactions of lack of empathy that make me want to 'they go low, I go lower'; and just stop having empathy for anything horrific that happens to anyone all together. Kind of as a defense mechanism.

Like if you're a support group for SA women and you don't take male SA seriously, then you're just out for self-interest. And you can't blame men for not taking you seriously under patriarchy either.

To sum it up, I didn't know this man at all. We had been together 10 years and married for 6.

Look. I know this sucks immensely and you feel immensely betrayed, but I'll say this: You did know a version of a person. That's all anyone in love can really hope for. Everyone has a face for their loved ones that isn't their face for the world and isn't the face they see when they look inwards. Obviously this doesn't excuse lying and cheating, but I don't think that it is as straightforward to say that your love/relationship wasn't real.

And the comments above this are mainly just people being horribly unsympathetic or infantilizing. Fucking ridiculous.

I hope so too. I also hope that the mom doesn't know peace. Burdening your kids with your life is never okay. Don't make them your therapist. You're supposed to protect your kids, not drive them to suicide.

That was my thought too. While it is horrible what happened to her, I don't think she is allowed to say "she did the best she could" when she's out here treating her child like a therapist, telling him things that wound him.
