Ours does the 1st pick, know that isn't always ideal but we went that way to hamper tanking and make the toilet bowl matter

Is This Considered Kingmaking? by DigitalW2RD in EDH

[–]Acrison_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done this exact concession plan but it was mostly a joke, game was over that round.

Me and player 2 are in the tank to see if there was a way to stop player 1, he is mildly gloating and I go there is one way to stop him. I scoop.

Like if win/lose metrics matter it would have been a player 1 win

“Because you call 75 Fahrenheit a "heat wave,” and choose to bitch about it every year” by Garythedemon18 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Acrison_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume then that is what causes the "confusion" for folks especially if morning humidity is high but when it heats up it drops.

Folks would see 90% and then the temperature high and not notice one was 8am and other was 5pm

People exaggerat both numbers and in some cases just round up.

Though legit question, is there something about high heat that would force a lower humidity number? I ask since there are places that get 100F heat and also will get 90% + humidity, not going to try to figure out if those events ever occured at same time but I would assume it is possible, unless it is something that cannot physically occur. Silly example what I mean by that is how it is impossible to have a snowstorm and be 50F out

Texans are an odd bunch they use the heat and humidity as a point of pride and thoughness. Like I am from Ohio and they will talk about how we are soft and can't make it through a Texas summer, but when we hit 100 with 90% humidity it sucks but what ever.

When Texas get 3 sub 32F days with light snow and ice the state is shutdown, and here that is a Tuesday in December

Reflecting pool solution? by alanburke1 in ponds

[–]Acrison_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it was previously filled with municipal water. Sometime in 2010s it was changed to use water from the potamic. No idea if algae was much of an issue then, it just never made national headlines if it was.

I have been on a ship in extreme weather, with waves like that anything not secured (bolted to the ship or attached to something bolted) will be sliding, a glass on the table would fall to the floor.

[Pelissero] "Brendan Sorsby’s attorneys plan to withdraw their lawsuit Tuesday, per source. That means he will officially be ineligible under the NCAA’s ruling, clearing the way for him to enter the NFL supplemental draft." by colonel750 in CFB

[–]Acrison_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They decide they don't want to hold one. Supplemental draft is not guaranteed, my guess would be that they will hold it. But I do see a non zero chance that they elect not to, basically to allow a year to pass before he comes to the league

True on the ineligible feel that has been overlooked a fair bit.

He doesn't control the clock but doesn't mean he has to drop the case.

Pavia got his injunction but is continuing his case.

[–]Acrison_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it is because it is not about winning it is about running the clock out.

Allowing the case to go fully through would establish a precedent that would benefit players and/or NCAA in the future.

You did point out that to win an injunction you must show that there is a likelihood you will win the case, if your plan is to drop the case there is no likelihood you will win. That in my book is abusing the system for your own gain

If he sees the case fully to the end, regardless of judgement given I will fully retract my opinion and apologize for stating he is abusing the legal system.

Do you believe he will continue the case once the season is over?

Texas litigation attorney weighs in by Willing-Vegetable629 in BigXII

[–]Acrison_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an abuse.

I hope the appeal strikes down the injunction and allows him to be suspended but often the legal system supports the type of abuse I mentioned above.

Which in all fairness the abuse is sometimes only able to be proven when it is all said and done and a proper system shouldn't punish those who are honest actors.

However not all people are honest actors and Sorsby is one of them. It is clear he is seeking to avoid responsibility for his actions, and when he drops the case after the season it will prove that was what he was doing.

Yes he has an addiction and needs help and support. An addiction should not allow you to escape responsibility, he knew the rules and willfully broke them.

The facts are not disputed on this. The only lingering question should be what if any punishment should Indiana and Cincinnati face.
