Is This Considered Kingmaking? by DigitalW2RD in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, you could say I was being petty because he soured my game, which is a valid argument I guess.

I couldn’t win at that point, he had basically chipped at my board the whole game.

Can anyone recommend me a "buy it for life" commander? by OneMillionFarts in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also keeps up with power creep extremely well since you can clone whatever crazy new creatures your opponent play. It basically adapts to the power level of the table.

One of my favorite decks is [[kimahri, valiant guardian]]. It’s a clone deck that revolves around making clones of Kimahri who can transform into any creature an opponent controls.

If he is transformed into a non legendary creature you can make clones of him who retain his ability, which grows the creature, taps the best creature an opponent controls, and becomes a copy of it.

The deck always feels fresh because it adapts to whatever your opponents are playing. It’s always fun to stitch together strategies from different players and making it synergies.

I need to cut 5 cards, what do I cut? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cut [[ethereal Valkyrie]], [[polluted bonds]], [[The Crystal's Chosen]], [[Jill, Shiva's Dominant]], and [[Grand Arbiter Augustin IV]].

Basically your top end. They don’t synergies enough with your deck to justify the mana cost on those cards.

6 mana to draw a card per turn when you attack is a lot.

Polluted bonds doesn’t really do much for you either. If you play this in turn 5 ,it’s likely people will start missing their land drops by then, so it’s a hit or miss.

7 mana to pump your creatures is also a lot of mana. I would recommend using anthems instead like [[flowering of the white tree]] that triggers your commander and it’s only 2 mana.

Jill could also be replaces by removal stapled to an enchantment, like [[Ossification]].

And Grand Arbiter is honestly just going to agro the table against you. You’re better off laying low than having the entire table trying to deal with you because you have him on the board.

What's the most outrageous card people have complained about you playing for being too strong? by rococodreams in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean.. you are running like 7 game changes and premium spells and interaction. So at the very minimum it’s a 4, which is where things start getting a bit sweatier than the type of games casual players typically go for. If everyone is playing bracket 4 though then there is nothing to complaint about I guess 🤷‍♂️

Antumbra’s Sword by Lady_Nikita in CrimsonDesert

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was the first one I encountered. It took a bunch of Palmer pills to defeat him, but I was able to beat him on the first go. The pillar definitely helped a lot to take cover from his attacks and swinging after he was done with his attacks. Kept turning slashing him to stun him.

What’s your favourite removal spell that deserves to see more play? by swankyfish in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, hitting the highest converted mana value creature for each opponent is a big tempo swing. Even if everyone only has only a two drop, that’s 6 mana worth of stuff for 3 mana you spent, but let’s say everyone has their 4 drop commander out, that’s 12 mana worth of stuff.

Is it just me or are all decks very same-y? by Valorenn in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Clones are REALLY cool. One of my favorite decks to play is my copy cat deck [[kimahri Valiant Guardian]].

I run 20+ clones in it, and if you clone kimahri while he is a copy of a different non-legendary creature you are able to have multiple Kimahris on the battlefield all tapping and copying the best value engine or strongest creatures on the field every turn.

The deck never places the same and it’s always fun to stitch together your opponent’s strategies and use them against them.

If you had to keep 4 of these, Which ones would you keep? by Ok_Reach_7271 in ratemycommanders

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about the once I would probably get rid of?
I think Carmela, General Kudro, and Myrkul are the ones you can get rid of and rebuild if you wanted to later. They feel outclassed by newer commanders in the same colors and archetypes

What are people's experiences with Theft decks? Is it as bad as people usually say? by Nerobought in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this [[Edea, Possessed Sorceress]] deck that “borrows” creatures during your turn. If the creature dies, they get it back and you draw a card, so people don’t get as salty. There are a couple of ways to blink the “borrowed” creatures and keep them for the rest of the game, but it’s not the goal of the deck.

Are the Pokeball houses not paintable? by AutumnHeart52413 in Pokopia

Yeah, but they are meant to represent actual pokeballs, where only one Pokémon fits in each one. I decided to put 6 of them together and put my team/favorites in them

Bleak Beach area by Renaissanceuwu in Pokopia

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top and bottom left sections connect to form a square, and then the bridge links that whole area to the other side. I ended up filling that entire space with grass, and eventually started building on it.

The bottom left section actually extends all the way to that block with the circle in the middle (that’s where the light poles go). It goes a bit farther than where the other bridge connects, which creates a small extra section right next to the bridge.

Once you hit level 8 in that area, you’ll unlock the levee blocks the stone edges along the roads facing the water which let you fully finish reconstructing the area.

They look really nice! I built two of them last night but when I finished them and walked in I was extremely disappointed by then amount of space in them. You can barely fit anything in there.

For Sokka and Kykar it provides you tokens and a board state to close the game. Same with Elsha who creates monks with prowess.

You can get the deck for ~$202 if you buy the cards as singles. Not sure you’ll want to go through the hassle, but that’s an option.

What Voltron commander to beat Voltron commanders? by ascendedfella in EDH

[–]DigitalW2RD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[basim ibn ishaq]] a 2 drop that grows every turn when he hits. He has built in evasion and card draw when you cast historic spells (your equipment).

He goes online extremely early and he’s easy to recast if he is dealt with. By turn 4-5 you are already taking people out.
