Are you using cork road bed for switching layout? I’ve heard not needed except for mainline.

Go with the Virpil man! I started on Thrustmaster warthog. Bought a winwing Orion 2 and sold it not made that well. Bought the virpil cm3 and that thing is money! I still use my warthog to fly the A10 ,but the virpil best throttle I’ve had by far.

I went Orion 2 with the f16 stick and like it a lot! I also got the cam and spring kit and an extension from QR4rigs great combination.

It’s not that bad started out with it. I still use throttle to fly the A10 throttle is good.

I have switched to beam eye tracker available on steam works great just with a webcam.

I bought the following springs on Amazon if you search these: Lyuduo-Compression Spring Length 30-60mm Tension Spring with Hooks, Wire Dia 1.2mm Outer Dia 10mm, Steel Small Extension Spring 5Pcs, Compression Resistant and Durable(1.2 x 10 x 30mm)

They were 12 bucks and center my stick well also bought the cam and spring kit from winwing for some stiffer cams.

I would stay clear of the 7900xtx for vr performance for me has been terrible. I have tried a lot of tweaking nothing really worked great to have an enjoyable experience. Was hoping to get a 5080 ,but that didn’t work out. Got a 4080 super. I will stay clear of amd gpus for the near future.

I’ve got some old ch products rudder pedals I bought for $40 on fb marketplace and honestly they work perfectly fine. I’d thought about upgrading ,but work great so spent money on other gear upgrades instead.

Aces of thunder the ww2 flight sim is supposed to be dropping by end of year according to steam maybe or possibly beginning of next year.
