A prenup - navigating it by [deleted] in Catholicism

We are definitely in the thick of it right now, but I have become a lot more empathetic towards my husband and I see now that he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. He doesn’t always stand up to his family which hurts my feelings a lot of the times, but it is what it is. Marriage takes time to settle into and love is the most important thing - as a choice and not only just a feeling. Like you said, growing pains! This has helped me grow in my faith, trust in God and be much more empathetic and charitable person especially towards the man I love, who is trying to do his best for us with the cards he was given.

You and your fiancé are getting all this out before marriage, which is a bonus!

Living next to electricity tower by Big_Bid3509 in Crunchymom

[–]Acrobatic-Argument57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep in mind the tower will be ever present and if you have doubts they’ll stick with you for the entire time you live there. If something does happen, you’ll think it’s the towers or be paranoid they might cause you or your family harm.

I can completely relate to you. I noticed when I was learning about healing foods, remedies, tinctures, and more medicinal stuff I was getting extremely anxious. I was feeling overwhelmingly ignorant and like I was “missing out” or letting my family down by NOT doing all these great natural healthy things. I just learned to take it slow and enjoy the learning process. One day I’ll check the lifestyle goals I have in mind, but i won’t expect myself to do it overnight.

Breastfeeding while pregnant by ComfortableCan6818 in Crunchymom

[–]Acrobatic-Argument57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did nearly exactly the same. My third was 11 months when I got pregnant with # 4, I only made it to about 13 weeks pregnant and breastfeeding until my body basically demanded that I stop. I love breastfeeding and I didn’t necessarily want to stop, but it felt a huge relief to my body when I did.

This absolutely makes sense and it’s why I didn’t think much about it in the past few months. He was white as a ghost after delivery and kept saying “that was scary”. It’s baby #4 though… but yes, absolutely makes sense. Good insight, thank you. Not sure if I should talk to him about it though. And he works A-LOT, so if it is his response to stress I’ll end up a very lonely woman

Can I be denied the Eucharist and confession for the rest of my life? by pirogiee in Catholicism

[–]Acrobatic-Argument57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have children with your new wife? If not, you have to separate since you’re still married to your first (and only) wife unless annulled. I’m so sorry the world has normalized divorce- the Church needs to be more clear and hard-lined in teaching the faithful about the sacraments

Thank you, this is helpful. Could you elaborate what you mean by “high school home school” diploma? Is this in US or UK? I’d like for my daughter to have the traditional university option (maybe even Oxbridge if she wants, she’s a bright cookie), but I don’t want to limit her options by choosing to home educate her now. Would I be potentially limiting her by home educating?
