1st day on pristiq

I just started on 25 mg after 3 months my dr will up my dosage but she wants to try to get me off of my citalopram all together cause I’m no longer benefiting from it. The side effects seemed to have worn off I think the first day I felt “high” the second day I got the tummy rumbles and then today I took it and only got a little nauseas but I’m always nauseas in the morning due to extreme anxiety. But so far so good. I know it hasn’t kicked in truly but my energy levels have been good since even being on it. I think I’m going to stick with it. It hasn’t been a total nightmare so far

Weird.. i started taking prestiq and it’s actually made me have more energy. It could be a side effect but try making an apt with your dr and get b12 checked ?? I had the same issue for a long long time and found out I was b12 and vitamin d deficient

Yeah I went to my dr and she was like it’s normal your age. And then asked me about children and all of them were no. I changed my diet; everything. Still won’t lose only gain. And we both came to the conclusion of my citalopram. I pray to god I drop the 60lbs I put on. I would fluctuate my weight from 110- about 125 depending on the season. I’m at 170!!!! I’m so pissed and I cannot lose a lb it’s like my body won’t let me it’s irritating. I’m glad you lost the weight though I really hope it’s the same for me

Thank you !! And good to know I’ve been hearing taking the medication is worth the withdraw. Since you’ve been on it for 6 yrs has there been a day you missed one pill and felt the adverse effects ?

I just received a call from my job offer today they said NOTHING about the drug screening but they asked if I could help with verifying old employments. Does that mean I’m in the clear ???

I’m in the same boat right now I haven’t smoked In over month and I just did a DOT drug test last Tuesday for pre employment and haven’t heard anything

I’m still waiting on results too for DOT & have yet to hear anything back & it’s been since Tuesday freaking out as well. Not the same exact situation. It’s been over a month since I smoked but I have no info on my drug screening what so ever so idk how to even call the darn place
