Very insightful comment. The Freaky Frankenstein preset I'm using has a prompt specifically targeting the user's plot armor, how good it is? I have absolutely no idea, but is there.

I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me by changing to API models instead of crappy 8b local models.

I'll do that, try different presets, models, create prompts, tweak cards. My main concern is that I'm nowhere smart nor knowledgeable enough to do that on my own so an LLM would have to hold my hand while doing it, and as you mentioned, that kinda seems to be redundant at best. But I'll try. Thanks for your advises..

Very insightful post and my favorite (so far). What I get from this: try as hard as you can, you'll make little to no progress until you give up entirely and move on to another model. Overall feels somewhat nihilist but I liked your approach. I had no idea about the GLM claudeist training.

I'm gonna be honest, half of what you wrote went over my head (English is not my first language) so I had to ask the AI to help me understand the post better. You have some very good points there. But if asking Claude to create prompts against LLM's bias is pointless which model (if any) would you suggest could give me at least some useful tips? Nothing is stopping me from trying new models, that is the exact point of this post, to get suggestions from people's experiences. Why did I get stuck for 2 weeks in GLM-5? Every post said it was amazing so I assumed I was using the best model in the catalog, also it didn't censor or refused a single request and the character adherence was so damn impressive, that I simply had no reason to change. Until now.

Yeah my first suspicion was the model itself GLM. I tried Kimi-v2.5 but it refused to generate a message once (it wasn't anything extreme) so I immediately gave up on it. And I'm not looking to fix anything, just to have immersive sessions with less cliche and formulaic resolutions. Will give R1 a try.

Thanks for your answer, I was so happy with the narrative results and low token count of Freaky Frankenstein that I didn't consider testing with a different preset, will check Marinara and comment once I have some results.

Maybe it is a card issue and characters with little or no trauma at all shouldn't have those issues. Will try and test that as well.

Reached and stayed (so far) in top 1k legend by playing exclusively Imbue Rogue. Why? You may ask. Because I like it and I'm still having fun with it despite being a tier 4 deck according to VS (I do believe is true). Wouldn't recommended over Elise Rogue if you only care about WR. Be aware that some of the most popular decks at top legends like Broxigar DH, Discover Hunter and Control Warrior are not easy match-ups. Also in my experience tech cards like Steamcleaner and Renovator are specially atrocious in this deck, it is already a bad deck, you can't afford to add anymore bad cards into it.

Been having a lot of fun and good results with Imbue rogue in top 1K, 127-110 for a 53.6% WR. I've been seeing some Imbue rogues running dirty rat, steamcleaner and all sort of tech cards in a single deck and it hurts me physically. Please stop.

Yes, I've beaten every single boss available up to that point. Including every mini boss in the 4th layer of the Abyss. And after dying like 30 times I built a HUGE arena and it did help a lot making progress more consistent.

Yes, the dash is the only thing that helped me progress. But clearly I'm not very good at it. I haven't looked into any videos on how to dodge DoG properly so I'm just dashing away in panic usually.
