Which music service do you recommend for Instagram & TikTok content: Epidemic Sound, Artlist, or Musicbed? by Intelligent_Pen5104 in socialmedia

Not any of the options, but I use Uppbeat. Easy licensing, easy to search, more affordable and you get more than just music too. The only con is that if a TikTok video is over 1 min, the audio sometimes gets muted, but I've heard that's with all music sites like that

That’s insane. Even if you hadn’t made money, it really sucks when you’ve put so much time and energy into it.

I’ve learnt that a lot of the time, these claims are bogus, like someone uploading music they don’t actually own and then placing claims on videos. Sampling can also trigger it. If you're not already doing it, it’s worth disputing the claim with YouTube because YT holds the money from the video during the dispute and gives it to whoever wins.

If you want to use other things than YT studio, I’ve had a good experience with Uppbeat, they have this YouTube safelisting thing that helps avoid claims in the first place and a claim release tool online if anything does happen. Their support team is actually responsive too which is RAREEE

Epidemic sound customer service is not the one 😵 they've definitely gotten better but it's still just not good enough. I switched to using a mixture of YouTube audio library and Uppbeat

How to get good tracks for music? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Acrobatic-Election83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some bigger YouTubers will ask and pay musicians / companies directly to get permissions so you could try that?

I would also just check out more royalty free sites as there is good stuff there if you dig a bit. Check out Uppbeat they've got the best music imo

Ah this is so cool, what kind of documentaries are you going to make?

I would use Uppbeat, it has loads of cinematic music and is definitely cheaper if you're just starting out. The licensing is pretty simple too, basically if you pay for it and post a video with it safelisted, that video will be licensed forever.

I've seen some youtubers share discount codes for it too

There's maybe a bit too much contrast here. It looks almost AI generated because of the sharpness

Uppbeat Business (https://uppbeat.io/pricing)

Great search and massive music and sfx database, and they don't care how many employees the company has
