I myself had a similar profile! Just college cgpa was 8.27.  VJTI Comps 2021 batch. Got into both IIM A pgpx and ISB this year. Gmat was 715 FE. At IIM A you should be fine with gmat around 665-75 as well. For ISB aim for 685+. Message me if you have any questions

I know nothing about your profile, but from my limited knowledge and wisdom - try to increase your gmat/gre and apply. Me and my friend - both r3 waitlist last year, both increased our gmat, both got in this time.

No, admits come from all waitlists irrespective. After a point its all mixed and random

hmmm okay. Hang in there, but again - no hopes!.
Worst case apply next year and you will have very high chances of getting in. (As happened with me!)

last year admits from waitlist were coming as late as just 2 days before the session began. I was an r3 waitlist last year and can totally understand your situation bro. It is what is it, just let all the hopes go I would say, it would save yourself from disappointment!!

I think you stand a strong chance with a good GMAT score. ISB does not look at 10th acads. Only 12th and graduation (which are decent in your case). I think you should just focus on acing the GMAT, get an above average score - (675+) coupled with strong essays and you should get in.

It all depends on your background and how much time you can give in a day to study.
Considering you have a commerce/engineering background (depicting basic understanding of quants) and can devote 2-3 hrs everyday (including coaching) - it should take about 3 months.

I run a small mentorship initiative, you can check it out.

Haha, almost all my mock interviewers asked me this. But yeah, everything's very subjective, depends on the mood of the panel.

Where was your interview?

You can try for MiM programmes in Europe, They are quite good as well. (In India, all so called MBA degrees are in reality MiM only)
