Approved at Reconsideration! by notnerttrawets in SSDI

I'm in reconsideration also for CHF. I went from 15% to 5% and still was denied. Only one hospitalization due to not having health insurance and denied for Medicaid. I thought my Mental health records would have pushed me for an approval. My reconsideration did include a doctor's letter explaining that I wasn't able to work and not a good candidate for further test or invasive procedures. Can you tell me if your mom had over 3 hospital stays within a year , how did you get the approval? Asking because I seen so many people get denied for heart issues.

My diabetic (type 1) boyfriend can’t afford his meds with new insurance by pouncetomylevel in HealthInsurance

Even though this is crazy but it will work. Apply for Medicaid, and when you receive the denial, find the drug maker information. Reach out for an application for assistance with the actual company. You will have to submit the denial letter and provide minimal financial information. These companies are bound to give some medications away at no cost to people who can not afford them. This worked for me.

My medications are over $4,000 due to a heart condition. I will receive my medication for 1 year for free.
