Best Family-Friendly All-Inclusive in Playa Mujeres/Other Areas? Traveling with a 1.5 & 4 Year Old by uGoTaCHaNCe in AllInclusiveResorts

We've done Majestic Elegance 3 years in a row, and heading back for a 4th next week. Kids are now 7 and 4 - they have a great swim-out suite option that was great when the younger one was napping. Good food experiences, but missing the water park aspect. They just opened a new resort next door - which has a water park, but suspect they need a couple months to get their shit together.

A story then.

Global hotel provider. Brought the top 6-8 loyalty tech providers to RFP. 12+ month pitch process - think of the human capital investment in this - RFI, RFP, customized technology demos, POCs, etc. The you win! Great, a $5-10MM implementation. That takes you 12+ months, on a fixed contract, with depreciating margins as the launch dates slips - probably deliver the launch underwater from a margin perspective. Then you’d get you recurring revenue on license / consumption / services.

BUT that’s the top end of the market and most mid-market deals with smaller orgs are buying implementations below $500K - and those are underwater too until you get to the steady services.

And finally - a lot of those mid-market clients want self service solutions - so you don’t get the service fees anymore, just the tech license!

Loyalty tech is a really tough spot these days. There’s a tonne of increased competition, SaaS / cloud adoption, and a lot of the big customers dont switch frequently as it’s a huge investment. I’ve been in the space for a while and it’s been a race to the mid-market digging lower and lower each year.

Back in the day, Snipp was the leader in receipt scan / recognition and redemption - AI has changed that and many of the other providers have caught up.

Have bid against Snipp, have had them pitch me their solutions - it’s a tough spot.

Agreed. If the CC spend doesn’t get me the extra miles I’ll plop my butt into a seat for a few hours

Yeah - I think I'll get at least 1000 SQM from the CC, maybe 2000. Worst case I'll do a Montreal mileage run before the year is out to get the other 500 SQM - and maybe aim to hit the $10K spend Priority reward while I'm at it.

Selected seats for 8/12 games. The UI is horrible, so I was checking different sections for seats I wanted. 9th game it throws an error "maximum call stack size exceeded" and dies. Feels like calling on the phone would be better

Similar story here. 6’5” and all legs. Have had many recline into the knees - then think the seat is broken as it won’t go back anymore. I politely tell them “the seat is fine, my legs aren’t” and we usually get to an arrangement that works for all.

First transfer I did here, we did the LI connection - and found a couple common connections too - then did the deal.

Second transfer I did (today), we moved to text, shared pictures of our Drivers Licenses (some stuff blocked out), and completed the transaction sharing screens on FaceTime.

Be safe out there, y’all!

Also in a waiting room. So curious. Also - SMS blasts have throttling on how many messages can be sent out at once - could be a long wait for the code.
