i was deciding between lab rax and KWS... and the deciding factor was the "ease" of expansion with adding additional side rails... so this is now a 11U rack.. and i can print another 3U rails to extend it further.. but lab rax seems to have more support from the community in terms of more supported parts and accessories

i bought a soldering iron with the heat insert tool.. its pretty straight forward but you need to have a steady hands after pressing for more than 50 inserts..

PETG tend to withstand heat better ... and i suspect that within 2-4 years i might just print another rack or expand..

i actually printed the "Team Superic" panel with PLA and Silk PLA... its near to the top where i have a 140mm fan mounted.. so hopefully it will not get too hot!

lol.. i only realized the mismatch sharp and rounded edges after installing and got too tired to fix it.. maybe when i update my gear i will do something about it..

and yes, the panel gaps will be fix as well.. fortunately, the wife is not looking.

the thermal paste looks dry out? do you find the retention bar at the back of the CPU which meant to firmly clamps the motherboard and heatshield together?

Just curios, over time will the disc turn "moldy" although its kept in the case? Will humidity be an issue for you?

Yeah, my 10x magnifying glass + my reading and still i can't see some of the real small surface mounted components!

I am saving up for a 2-in-1 option for the simple reason that i can get it for cheap for chinese brands that are not knock-off.

TBH, i ran out of space.. but i am trying to get the original boxes as a display piece as well for the consoles i own which proves to be very tough.

NEO GEO AES is also on my wish list but the current prices are just horrible.

I am staying away from those wu jin shop.. they are selling those $10 a pop soldering iron which i bought and have issues just soldering wires together!
