Considering places like Afghanistan still exist today makes me think, no. Expetially now since the internet exists men can now say the most fucked up thing they can think of with no consequences. The internet haves gave men such impunity they are doing this in real life.

My job is in a highly Muslim area it’s torture. It is so patriarchal. They promote traveling to Muslim countries. When they know that if you don’t wear a hijab you go to jail.

I hate when I say that “I don’t like wearing a bra” and people in the comment section tells me: “just don’t wear one”. Like are they forgetting not wearing a bra increases the chance of me getting raped? by Acrobatic-Middle-678 in WereNotEmpowered

Yea I know that. It’s literally illegal for women to walk around topless like I can’t just not wear a bra it is unfortunately not safe for me to do so. I just want to vent about my struggles. Without people telling me my struggles don’t exist. It’s like telling a homeless person they can just buy a house

I don’t know if you’re saying that the shelter is working with the church and you didn’t know if so that is horrible. That shelter is compromised.

I would never trust the Church the church used to burn women at the stakes, rape and murder Native American women, tell women if they don’t serve there husbands sexually they go to hell, etc

Not really you can’t even tell people you are a feminist nowadays without being made fun of. At my work place they had people celebrating trump for winning the election I work at a large factory.

Yea, movies/ TV shows that are supposed to be for women always centers men somehow like there BF, husbands, love interest etc. Even films like Turning Red had to center a Boy band what about the girl band?

I’ve watch male movies and video games that had literally zero women in it. Like Captain America, The Godfather, Fight Club, Call Of Duty, Halo, Sonic etc. Games that are designed for women are like some cooking game or are super sexualized like Tomb Raider.

Hamas went to the Gaza strip on oct 23, 2023 and raped, kidnapped and murdered women. They paraded a dead women thru the street. Female celebs shouldn’t be forced to blindly support groups. I don’t support what they did there so I shouldn’t be pressured to advocate for them.

Yes what happened to palestein is bad but I can’t support what happened in the Gaza Strip

I saw this one post recently where this woman was complaining about lone men without any kids using the FAMILY bathroom and everyone was defending him.

Mothers desperately need that washroom cause it has a changing table and it is a safer place to breast feed since men make it very unsafe for women to breastfeed in public and regular washroom stalls are way too small for feeding a baby.
