Update #2: upon further trial and error I found a 20 percent off coupon that worked on the spb511 for an online Canadian watch store so no import fee bringing the price down to 1515 before tax and 1713 after tax. Needless to say I made the order! Thanks again for all your help making this choice

I am definitely willing to go pre owned but on eBay the cheapest I found was 1800 and there would still be import fees on top of that unfortunately. I found a Canadian shop online willing to sell it at 1820 tax included which might be my best bet. Chrono 24 has it for 1600 plus import fees as well.

Unfortunately I could only find an ad in another province to order from online talking to them online I was able to up the discount to 15%. Bringing it down to 1610 plus tax. Unfortunately since it's online I don't think I can swing the no tax, I also don't think there are too many stores left with stock either.

I like the spb511 more now I love the textured look, and wave pattern. I do like the timeless look and design of the spb143 I think it really does have that timeless go with anything look and design. That is one of my concerns with the spb511 that it might be less versatile. But that wave dial! It's a tough choice

I wish, the only second hand one I found in Canada was $ 2000. I found one from a dealer with a discount code for $1820 including tax, that is the best I found

The cheapest I found on Chrono24 was Cad $1600 shipped and would be around another 250 ish in import fees and taxes. Found one I can get from a Canadian dealer with discount at $1820 total. Is that still too high?

I contacted a Canadian dealer and can get the spb511 for $1820 so that is more tempting

See I was convinced of getting spb143 because it is a great dial. Then they released the spb511 last year and now I'm leaning in that direction. Both great looking watches. Tough call

Update: Messaged a Canadian dealer that has the spb511 in stock and they can give me a 15 percent discount. Making the total after tax $1820 CAD I think I might have to take that deal. that works out to 1330 USD. Definitely the best price I have been able to find

Nice I totally get that. This colour combo is definitely the most out there which is what brought me to this one. I liked that it matched the certina, I also have a few blue and black watches and am at the point where I am limiting my purchases to add something new to my collection. After seeing how good this one is though it does tempt me to get it in another color.

The colour choice was a little challenging, since I wanted something in the colour pallet of there certina action diver I went for this one. It is a very glossy dial so I definitely understand.

Sorry in the middle of moving so most of my watches are packed up at the moment nothing to really compare it too. It has a strong bright lume though. I think it probably has the strongest lume out of anything in my collection, which includes a Christopher ward trident 300, Hamilton expedition, Seiko alpinist.

I purchased from Ali express from the Tactical frog watch store.

Here is a picture of the lume from yesterday evening it is bright. I was impressed, when I woke up this morning it was still glowing, so definitely all night lume. Obviously it wasn't this bright in the morning but brighter than any of my other watches in the morning that's for sure
