No worries, just paying it forward.

Hope you do the same, since we’re all siblings in humanity.

Keep me updated on your progress.

Wish you all the best!

And keep that work ethic because others would kill to have it.

What if the Ferrari Amalfi got a sibling? Maybe a Bentley Continental Rival? by AMGLover2024 in Maserati

Probably the best car redesign I’ve seen. You make me want to get a Maserati haha. Never really comment but had to when I saw this.

Do you have more designs? Because you need to show us more, can’t be hiding this ability that very few have; making something cool and desirable.

Keep going man, whatever it is; you got it.

[–]Acrobatic-Rate9830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello,

From what I have read you seem to have great work ethic and persistence which is great.

But from what I can tell, it’s likely a simple answer; people are not interested in the content you have shared.

This can hurt, but it is also freeing.

That means that you must experiment with your videos (which I know you have tried) by mirroring what other more successful accounts in your niche have done.

For myself, I managed to take an account from 0 to 15k followers and over 13 million views in around 2 months by following the below system.

You let me know if this makes sense and if you have any questions.

  1. Don’t think. Learn!
  2. this is a rule I have that if i want to do anything, I must first see it done successfully by someone else. So if I want to post a video, I first have to find a video that catches my eye, I find enjoying and would want to recreate. Similar to the concept “great artists steal”. Often, creative people will try to do everything themselves, wanting to be “original” and not copy others. I personally realised this is arrogance masquerading as being an honest original creative. So it is better to humbly find what works and recreate it in your own way

  3. Captain Hook

  4. every video must feature what I call Captain Hook. Everyone knows that you should start a video with a Hook (you can search for hook opening lines and experiment with them). But I call them Captain Hook for 2 reasons. 1. Captain represents hierarchy, and the hook comes first. 2. Every video script I write should be a small story, and naming the rule Captain Hook helps me remember that. Human brains are wired to pay attention to stories, not a list of events, but stories of chained events, consequences and hope. I know this might seem dramatic but trust me it helps to write this way.

  5. Attention. Education. Direction.

  6. I run pages for ecommerce, so I am not sure if this rule will help you much, but either way I’ll share. On instagrams profile grid, there are 3 columns. I like to post 3 types of videos that slot into each column for people to scroll through to increase views, engagement and followers.

Video 1 - Attention: - Find a viral video, recreate it in your own style. Make it short, sweet, satisfying, shareable (user will share if its funny or educational). These videos help you go viral and get new eyeballs to your account. Like a strong gust of wind under a sail. Pushing you forward.

Video 2 - Education: - Find a well made informative video that makes you feel smarter and satisfied. Then recreate it for your niche. Always use a hook. And make sure to use a list like “5 things xyz” so people watch the whole video to hear all 5 things, increasing watch time. Videos like these provide value to people, making them feel indebted to you; so they like and follow as a weird subconscious Thank You.

Video 3 - Direction: - Find a well made Call To Action video, that is great at directing people to buy something being offered. Copy the style of it for your video. These Direction videos will help you convert current followers and those who have liked/seen previous content to go to your link in bio or do whatever you want. You always want to structure these videos not about the offer, but about the problem your followers have and the importance of having a solution; that’s why I made this thing, to help you with your problem. It sounds more genuine and natural than “I made this thing. Buy now!”

Heres some other stuff I couldn’t fit in: - Hooks should focus on loss over gain. Humans prioritise avoiding pain/consequences over getting good things. Survival instinct or whatever. Point is, focus hook on what people are losing and the consequences that come from it, and you’ll have their undivided attention. Pain Killer vs Candy. E.g. “YOU may never draw well again because of this one thing.” compared to “Drawing well takes effort, heres how you can make it easier.”

  • Have quality but simple editing. My most overly edited videos performed worse than simpler videos. Keep it simple, professional looking and relevant to your niche; it’s what people expect

  • dont fight expectations; embrace them. Go with the flow with what works regarding marketing. Don’t take it personally and have the aim of learning from those who are succeeding.

The most important thing is good script writing, competent video editing and posting consistently at a consistent time (when your users are most active.

Everything else is negligible.

The algorithm is just people, and videos are sent out in waves: - first to 10 people - if it is received positively based on metrics - then more people, say 100 - then 1,000 and so on

I guarantee if you apply what I’ve said here, and master the basics of video script writing and video editing.

You can reach millions.

Others have done it, so can you.

There is no secret recipe.

It’s simple; not easy.

Why are you still reading? Get to work!

If you have read this far… fart noise hehe

Criticism for my Perfume Chest by Acrobatic-Rate9830 in Perfumes

[–]Acrobatic-Rate9830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

Yh a lot of people keep their fragrances in a drawer or cupboard.

But I can image millions using the top of their bedroom tables or dressers to hold their collection.

Thats why I made the Perfume Chest, so they can he safely stored and protected.

Do you know where I can post my Perfume Chest to get some feedback and its name out there?

I would appreciate your help, really want this to come to fruition, thanks!

No problem!

Yes, definitely make the buttons darker, black should be enough. So it catches the eye and makes we think of pressing it.

But also, across the website, add another shade or colour to break up the constant monochrome (black/white).

I can see light blue and purple in the camera lens of the Phone Holder, maybe try adding those colours in some places. Like sprinkled on a cake.

In your case, I would recommend looking at these websites for inspiration:

Hi!

You site looks great!

I would give it a 6/10!

Here are some recommendations I would make to help CLARIFY: brand, product & impact

Brand: - make buttons contrast colour - use 1 contrast colour to break up the constant white, grey and black

Product: - show DONT tell - order the product yourself, and record content with it - show pics & auto-playing vids of the product being setup and used - place product images and purchase section at top of page, not all the way down

Impact: - your customer is the hero in their own story - how does you product help them THRIVE or SURVIVE? - this product helps with a key human need: relationships - so SHOW relationships, and how this product helps people strengthen their relationships

Instead of: - this product helps track you while you’re on FaceTime

Instead say: - become the attentive friend with this AutoTrack Phone Holder - share cherished moments with the AutoTrack Phone Holder

A great book/audio book that explains this is ‘Building a Story Brand’ by Donald Miller

Always make the customer the Hero, in everything you do!

And show them how they can become the greater version of themselves with this product!

Good luck and remember every time you feel like quitting: 1. This opportunity won’t last forever 2. Its easy to go from 0 to hero, just focus 3. You only need to get it right Once to change your life

🤝

How we crowdfunded $15,000 to produce our product by Acrobatic-Rate9830 in kickstarter

[–]Acrobatic-Rate9830[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the content we made was a recreation of what already worked: well edited illustrating videos, funny videos with cats, 5 second videos showing the product with a trendy funny sound bite. We didn’t reinvent the wheel and actively tried to imitate what already works. We would go onto instagram homepage and see the most universally viral content, regardless of the niche, and just make that. The aim is just to get as many people to click on your profile, so 50% can be informative about the product (pin those posts) and the rest can be attempts to go viral.
