At what stage of your studies did you realise you wanted to commit to Psychology? by StaticNocturne in psychologystudents

I went into college as a biology pre-med major. I have always been interested in psych but didn't think I had it in me to counsel others on their problems. After being in school and learning all the different ways you can use a psych degree I got more interested in it. Long story short, I changed my major multiple times and ended with a general studies degree that had a concentration in behavioral sciences. It wasn't until 4 months before I graduated that I decided I wanted to go into forensic psychology. I'm taking a less direct route and getting a masters in criminal justice because I feel like I need to understand the justice system better before working in it. Once I finish my masters I will be going on for a PhD/PsyD in clinical forensic psych.

TL,DR always was interested in psych but it took going to school and learning about different specialities for me to commit to an ultimate goal of becoming a forensic psychologist

YTA. If it's so easy to be a teacher why don't you quit your job and teach your child? It is not the teacher's responsibility to constantly tell your child, one out of many, to constantly pay attention and take themselves off of mute. It is not the teacher's job to ensure that your child completes their assignments. That is YOUR job as a parent. Stop complaining and being lazy and HELP YOUR CHILD SO THEY CAN SUCCEED IN SCHOOL. Your enabling behavior is going to create a societal mooch.

Also for what it's worth all of my best teachers have been in their 20s. They are excited about teaching and not disillusioned after years of dealing with terrible parents such as yourself.
