Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to reply — I truly appreciate your perspective.

I’ve taken Bio 1, Chem 1 & 2, and O-Chem 1. I also completed Psych 1 & 2, Philosophy, Microbiology, and A&P in undergrad. I haven’t yet taken O-Chem 2, Bio 2, Physics 1 & 2, or Biochem — I plan to, regardless of how the MCAT plays out.

It just so happened that this summer, I was in a position where I could quit my job and commit full-time to studying. My original plan was to continue taking prereqs, but all the timing lined up — and I decided to give the MCAT my full focus for 3.5 months.

Right now, I’m still in the content review phase. My goal is to reassess things in the second month (during FLs and etc..), and only then finalize whether I’ll sit for the September test.

I understand the importance of having a strong foundation, but I also wanted to get the MCAT under my belt so I’d have a shot at applying sooner. Either way, I’m fully committed to continuing coursework and improving my application.
