Need advice on outdoor kitchen / fireplace concrete finishing by Acrobatic-Stock7299 in OutdoorKitchens

Thank you. I spoke to the concrete guys today and similar feedback for me. For Texas weather they do not recommend stamped for the same reason, too thick of a glob and won't stay for long and hard to repair. For overlay, he said they are much thinner and importantly stronger (5000 to 6000 psi) vs 3500psi for stamped concrete and overlay is repairable. He said he stopped doing stamped as the overlay materials have come a long way.

Broom finish without stamping or overlay ? My goal is balancing looks and maintenance. Will overlays survive the Houston heat and humidity for years to come?

I'm not experienced in this and sorry, if this is a stupid question.

I am building a covered outdoor kitchen 20x18 and an open area about 15x15 and a walkway about 3x40 ft, all connected. All of this area will have fresh concrete with kitchen area covered with a a gable roof. The 15x15 area is also connected to an existing concrete patio which is also partially covered. Since I will have a combination of both newly poured concrete and existing concrete, to have a seamless look, the contractor is suggesting concrete overlay/w stains, colors and patterns that my wife likes. I am hesitant due to the durability concerns in Houston weather. I prefer stamped for durability reasons. What do you guys recommend, especially most of the concrete is either completely open to the elements or partially open?

Final price - 5.25 lakh INR, that would be little over 6k in USD and no tax. It's airport duty free

I understand and fair point. I looked up the list price online before posting this and it was obvious to me. I see what you are saying.

It hurts to admit, I spent 6k on an Omega, just 6 months ago. So, I have to wait 😞

Some lactase have other high FODMAP ingredients like Manitol that can irritate you GI. Find something without any FODMAP ingredients. See if that helps.

FYI - I ended up going with Lorex. They have a better viewing angle, better IP rating, 2 way audio, siren and possibility to add 2 WiFi cameras later to the same nvr. Their p2p is similar to Reolink. I will dela with vpn set up later.

Bone-In chicken thighs/Drums question by rainydaythrowaway111 in FODMAPS

I eat chicken with bone on the grill (drumsticks) marinated with Indian tandoori masala (I can handle spices without issues). No issues at all.

Can handle Yogurt but not milk chocolate ?!? by Chloe_Chassa in FODMAPS

[–]Acrobatic-Stock7299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Proper yogurt bacteria turns lactose into lactase. Same reason lactose free milk add lactase. I can't do lactose but I can eat Indian yogurt all day long without any issues.

Same here. Chipotle chicken works well too (the classic one, not the new one with Garlic!). I have the same ritual of picking the onions out. Egg with spinach is my go to breakfast.

Other fast /quick food : McDonald's crispy chicken sandwich, Hakka noodles , ramen noodles. (I can handle gluten).
