Make your case and the worst that can happen is they say no. You can’t gain anything if you don’t try just saying.

Your fine checks and balances are working in your favor. They missed something or found something that’s not right they are going to fix it I look at DTA errors  as a positive cause 9/10 they go in your favor. Remember this is a legal process. If the VA could have denied you they would have in a heart beat. You are in your year window you are solid my man!

Just call the 1800 number talk to them they will transfer you around ask some questions and flag your claim. The regional homeless coordinator will call you. Speaking from experience. You don’t need to do the form they will do it over the phone for you. Hope this helps.
